Description
Welcome to Twin Lake Falls

Surrounded by mountains and hills, the shores of the central lakes reserve form the transition into rolling plains that stretch out to the south. Fed by various creeks that spawn in the upper mountains, the falls form the main decor of this tiny valley. The lakes themselves are the main source of fertility for the agricultural lands on the plains, alongside the cascading river that cuts through the flats from east to west…
All these should provide enough resources to maintain a stable power/circulation/agricultural base for pioneers looking to establish a thriving, cosy mid-sized city.

This should have been the third installment in my Interstate-90 map real-life location collection, but I got carried away with the falls so in the end it became a fantasy map altogether.
Little rough on the edges here and there, maybe, but hey - you're the architect, what?

Statistics, Constraints and Considerations:

- 3 highway connections: Highways are two-lane Mass Transit ones, the intersections and roundabouts are custom builds. One main highway running northeast to southwest (with a third spawn into the south corner) is looping around the valley, in order to keep most heavy traffic away from the natural reserve. Train tracks have been drawn along more or less the same lines.
A secondary road loop that cuts through the mountains was nearly ready, but an archaeological find kept the last stretch of road on hold for the time being. If you can come to an agreement with various ecological and historical instances, you might be able to finish it still :-)
- 3 train connections: one terminal track leads into the start square.
- 1 plane route
- NO shipping! The river has the sole purpose of offering a water treatment base, with various floor cascades that ensure a strong current to avoid dirty water from spoiling the water quality of the Twin Lakes. Thus, also the bridges spanning the river were not constructed having large shipping in mind (they would rather spoil the whole picture anyways). Should you still want to exploit a harbour of any kind, please take this into consideration and prepare yourself to set up shipping from scratch. I would also recommend subscribing to some smaller ships/ferries to that end.
- All resources (fishing is default)
- Lots of trees (around 270k, all custom) Unlimited Trees Mod is a must!
- Some props (mostly hedges, all vanilla)

Sifted and Collected:

There's quite some rock 'n' tree detailing going on, so I strongly advise to subscribe to all items from the one-click collection.

Themes and settings
- Base Theme : SCT - Homecoming
- Cliff Texture : RRealistic v1.4.5 European
- Ore & Oil Texture : Britannia
- LUT : Relight Neutral
- Exposure : 1.3
- Theme Mix: Twin Lake Falls Theme Mix

Mod nudges (no obligation from the state department)
- A stable version of TM:PE because you want to make them road lunatics to behave.
- Intersection Marking Tool because them lunatics need some clear indications on what the behaviour actually is.
- Unlimited Trees Mod v1.12 and Unlimited Trees: Revisited because you don't want to cut trees for the sake of planting others, just plant more.
- 81-Tiles because you want to finish the mountain loop and go swimming in the creeks :-)
- Move it! because above all, we gotta keep moving.
- Loading Screen Mod because, to be honest, we can't do without, can we?

Please rate if you like it and don’t forget to enable your have-fun mod 😊
Enjoy!

I'm a bit late to the game, but could you tell me why some road connections are left open?

Well, whaddayaknow! I wasn't even aware...
@BBBenj - Thanks for pointing that out, and thank you for your nice rate as well :steamhappy:

As for the grumbles from the Mighty BonBon, if I find the time I'll address them.
But, before all, I want to finish off a new map I'm currently cooking up.

@djoe unfortunately I can't find it there either... on top of this page there is no collection linked.
