Delayed DoTs

Damage from fire and toxic sludge will only affect the player after two seconds from when they are first contacted.

This gives you a small grace period to extinguish or clean yourself without taking any damage. Makes touching that one pixel of sludge or fire when you're at 1 hp less rage inducing.

This will reduce the overall damage by these a small amount, since the initial damage is blocked by the grace period. I couldn't figure out a good way to extend the timers for these.

This is incompatible with any other mod that adds resistances to these types of damage, but it works fine with the immunities provided by the vanilla game.
