TRTC DLC: The Third Confrontation (Episode 1) (Part 2/4)

A remake of my first campaign that grew into something bigger than just update for the design and gameplay of the old levels…

It’s been 2 years since the project was started. During that period many shenanigans took place: loss of resources with ready 1st level, full remake of the 2nd level caused by the problems with the game’s memory (so I can assure you that this mod made the most of the HD Editor) and other hardships that arose during campaign’s development.

Now with all of that behind, you can observe new extensive mod which includes 5 campaign maps and 6 survival maps. Below will be mentioned pros and cons of the mod.

Pros:

-Decent design;

-Good Gameplay;

-Developed plot in Netricsa;

-Balance;

-Great soundtrack;

-Interesting locales;

-Platforming;

-Localization (available languages: ENG, RUS)

-And most importantly: new experience on serious difficulty level.

If you want to get “true calvary” in the form of actually DIFFICULT levels (but this time with more-or-less casual design), then serious difficulty is your choice! Alongside changed enemies, even the weather conditions will be different! So if you completed the mod on the lower difficulty or mental, go the extra mile and get completely new experience on seemingly the very same levels!

Cons:

-Bad optimization;
Mod is quite demanding and is NOT fit for playing on graphical settings below normal. (Soon an alternative version of the mod will come out, where the design will be cut to increase fps. Better wait for its release to not ruin your first impressions).

-Some bugs may be present (I can’t find all of them so if you encounter any, write down in the comments).

That’s all for the basics, let’s move on to the plot.



This campaign is a DLC to Road to Calvary I (all the happenings set down in the DLC serve as a prologue to the first part).

After killing Mordecai (The end of SS:TSE) the main character was going to head after Mental, but everything, as usual, goes against the plan(otherwise the prologue wouldn’t have happened), and now he found himself in completely new area, where Mental’s forces will come rushing to soon. Besides that, the Earth is getting closer to a state known by everyone as the “lava apocalypse”, that’s why Sam has no time to loose.

According to Netricsa, the only hope is Eluret – mysterious city, fortress, or… It is still unknown what the word “Eluret” means, but alas without it Sam can’t leave the shackles that is our planet. “It” remains far in the north. Therefore, a long path lies ahead of you, full of obstacles, traps, enemies… And, of course, lengthy searches for right passageways.

A couple of words from me:
Mod was almost entirely made by me. I wanted to make it bigger and not split into two episodes, but I didn’t have enough strength to complete it all. If you want continuation – don’t forget to support this product in any way. A simple like will be enough, I will already feel better.
