For those who keep up with the latest from GTA Online, they will surely be aware of the tribute to Red Dead Redemption 2 that is the stone ax challenge.

It consists of a series of reward missions where the player can catch or kill criminals in exchange for a prize.

Your reward for this remarkable effort would be the brutal stone ax, which gives the player a special ability much like Trevor's in the campaign.

How to get the stone ax?
First of all, if you are behind the stone ax you will need to complete five reward missions. By doing them you will receive the ax as a reward.

To access these missions, you can find them on your phone and they are sent by Maude. If you see a message from Maude, simply access it to activate the side quest.

How to find the criminals?
Once you open the mission, Maude will send you an email with a mugshot of the target, which will be randomly generated from 20 NPCs.

Now you will have a photo and a marker on the map with the last known location of the criminal.

Then you will have to investigate the area in search of suspects, but do not worry, since if you are near the objective you will begin to hear a bell sound very similar to that of the treasure search mission.
How to capture your target?
As you can anticipate, capturing your target alive will give you a greater reward than taking them dead. So you will surely want to opt for this option if you want to fill your pocket.
It's $ 5000 for a dead target and $ 10,000 for a live one, and the decision is entirely up to you.

If you are not in need of money, you can quickly draw your weapon and eliminate your target.

Maude will simply send you the money once the target is dead and the process is even faster, helping you get the ax easier.

However, if you are looking for a little extra money, things get a bit complicated and risky.

You will need your target to surrender to you and the easiest way to accomplish this is by hitting and kicking them on the floor until they give up.
Be careful not to alert any police who are prowling around and for what you want most, do not use any weapon that could endanger the life of the target.

If the target tries to escape, you can simply shoot them in the ankle to slow them down and repeat the process one more time until they give up.

Where is the stone ax located?
Once you finish your last reward mission, Maude will send you a message telling you that the last person had a reservation hidden somewhere and it is yours if you want it.


How to complete the challenge of 25 kills with the stone ax?
Once the stone ax is in your possession, a new challenge to get 25 kills with it is waiting for you.

The reward for completing this challenge is $ 250,000 and access to the ax in Red Dead Redemption 2's online mode.
