Deskripsi

Designed in 1929 and adopted by the Empire of Japan in 1934 (Kōki 2594), the Type 94 was intended as a compact alternative to the Type 14 for tank and aircraft crews. Despite being very popular in its intended role within the Japanese army, among allied soldiers a myth was propagated that the pistol was designed to be fired while surrendering due to the fact it can be discharged by pressing down on the seer on its left side. However, post-war stories of this "feature" are often greatly exaggerated, and it was never intended to be used in such a way.
