Description
Adds a new weapon to the game inspired by Descent's Fusion Cannon. The Fusion Cannon is an energy weapon that features a very low rate of fire, but devastating single-shot damage. Compared to a standard cannon, it fires more slowly and has a shorter range, but its shots are larger and travel more quickly. Has a chance of doing antimatter damage. This weapon uses the original sound effect from Descent when it fires. Available anywhere that a lightning gun can be found, but is a bit more rare.

From the Descent 3 Manual:

"The ultimate over-kill assault weapon, the mighty battle-scarred Fusion Cannon is back for another tour of duty. Charged-up 'til near bursting with great big globs of purple anti-matter, this charming challenger draws in daredevil dogfighters like moths to a flame—Fusion Power."

Thanks to DerGoldBärWerner for the turret in the thumbnail! The in-game Fusion Cannon will look similar to a standard cannon.

I'm working on another set of arsenal extension weapons and will absolutely take some notes from here.

Also:
Bigger plasma/pulse cannons/guns with more range but slower firerate, maybe something like plasma/pulse cannons?

Pulse lasers, (mech warrior online =D) just lasers but instead of continuous laser beam, its like name says, pulse beam, longer range, more dmg but high reload etc.

Man i love your mods, mostly the weapons ones, and i have some suggestions which i would love to see in game as a mods.

I think bigger chainguns, plasma cannons (i know u have coaxial ones) would be great, i wish love to see end game chainguns with longer range.

Autocannons, something like bolters but with slower firerate but much longer range.

Tactical cruise missiles, big, slow reload missiles (ofc with seeker) with a lot of dmg.

Btw i would love to see PDCs which can shoot missiles, maybe atleast those tactical missiles if you gonna add them, i know we have torpedoes but, meeh, you know what i mean...

High velocity cannons, like normal cannons but with longer reload but much faster bullets.

I don't think it would break anything.

And you bring up an excellent point. I don't think I have made a plasma weapon. Maybe I'll reconsider.

Would it break your mod, if I would to add a chance for a plasma version along with the 15% chance antimatter code line. An exactly identical code line, just that it has addPlasmaDamage added to it. Creating a weapon mod is beyond me, but I have been tweaking yours for personal use. Would be great to see a plasma weapon of your creation and take on a plasma cannon.

Had an outdated mod activated so thats why i thought it could be your mod causing the problem, your mod was the newest at that moment

Yeah i tried your mod with Turret Rebalance 1.3 and they work perfectly fine together

They're completely new. A turret rebalance mod wouldn't do anything to them. What mod were you using?

Did you add these weapons completely new into the game or did you "just" change an existing type of weapon. Because i want to know if your mods are compatible with Turret Rebalance Mod
