2nd of September 1945 - Corroded
The rise of the undead horde started after World War II
With many of it's Outbreak zones being in abandoned German occupation zones. Many of the have either been altered by a certain unknown magic or hey were German facilities. There were abandoned German soldiers surviving the sudden onslaught that killed both the allies and axis within the zone. This is your last stand in this Corroded structure.
1990 – SERAPH
Certain Russian scientists and archaeologists have begun to hear voices of a woman. They describe this woman’s life to be drained and ghastly. “Base Nachalo” has now deemed paranormal and unexplainable. Further research led them not to the woman but to a sword carved into stone. The archaeologists who discovered the stone slowly carved away to see if they could find hidden secrets but only found despair as the voice of the woman grew wearier. By the end, they began to carve into themselves magical runes and the stone then opened a pocket dimension, slaughtering nearly all men in the base, turning them to flesh-hungry beasts. Through this pocket dimension’s appearance, a creature stepped out. It’s tendrils long and wide, it’s teeth seemingly sharper than razors and multiple heads carried on its shoulders, all seemingly functioning. One scientist lived to tell these tales but disappeared as he went maddened by his obsessions of the creature. His name was Markus Valika.
The Russian Government was unsure to make of this occurrence and buried the details alongside many other mysteries. They did, however, often send out scouts to maintain the pocket dimension, though they would end up as sacrifices for the higher beings. Markus Valika was detained, however escaped.
“The woman’s… screams. They have been prying into my brain for too long! Her name is… Seraph.” – Markus Valika
1991 – Discovery of the Sword
A certain scouting group was sent out by the Russian Government to Base Nachalo once more. However, unusually, no one died. They came back with magnificent readings, stuff only Valika had told them, seemed to be true. It is not just a death pit. There are spirits, irregular elements and worst of all: The undead. One member had gotten their hands on a painting that looked relatively new, however dated back before the time of man. This painting depicted a knight with a sword that had shining light. “This is the proof of God!”. After further examination, runes were also carved into the painting’s backside. Unable to make out the runes, it was vaulted for later examination.
1998 - Aftermath
The flu has been ravaging the land for 3 weeks now. It makes people crazy, unable to function properly. Cutting the once people, down to hollow husks, that can't do much but walk, operating only on their instincts of eating and attacking. Since the land outside has been stripped of anything edible, they have now resorted to chasing human flesh. Everyone alive must stay isolated completely. Spreading quickly and taking effect fast, the flu could wipe out humanity, if you aren't careful.
You and your team have been set to find a cure. The best medical researchers in the land. A factory has been reserved for you and your team. You may only leave using the teleporters when going to the train station to get arrived supplies and samples, to the outpost base to treat the survivors, or to the highway to get supplies from trucks. A portal to the market and military base has been built too, so your team can get food and backup from the military.
Humanity will depend on you.
The samples are dangerous. Even with plenty safety equipment, you need to handle the samples with extreme caution, in order to contain the flu. Days, weeks, months go by. Progress is happening, but it's slow. Most of the outside can't be contacted. It's only safe to assume, that those regions have been overrun by the TD80 Flu - The Dawning Flu.
News. A new mutation. Again. This time, it was from a zombie which body was in flames, and wouldn't seem to take any harm from it, nor would the flames go out. In the areas where you would find a lot of them,
there tended to be an orange tint to the sky's colors.
Treat it like a new flu, they said. The new mutation could cause you trouble.
You bring it into the lab, and place it under the scanner in your factory. It picks up on something. It's indeed not like the other mutations.
You need to inspect it closer, with caution and precision. After a one or two experiments, you decide to do a last one. It went wrong. Horribly wrong.
A huge explosion erupted from the sample glass, and knocking everyone in the building unconscious, and activating the factory's emergency shutdown.
1999 - Aftermath PT2
You and your colleagues wake up from what might be an hour, a day, or a month. Only did you consider that a longer period may have passed, when you looked at the complete destruction outside the window. Just a year ago, this place looked horrible enough. Now it looked like an apocalypse. You grab your self-defense guns. Someone out there has to be alive.
Someone.
1999 - Post-Aftermath
“I feel I’ve lost so much after the fall of every settlement. The fact our plan is to live our days out in a nuclear launch room, just feels sad.” Those were the final words her colleague had heard before discovering she had died to an immense amount of radiation and poisonous gas which had ruptured her heart. “What do we do now Doctor? We may have plenty of supplies, but if we stay here for much longer, the same will happen to us.”
“I… I truly don’t know. If only the station was left standing intact, we could’ve gotten through the tunnel.” His eyes waivered around the place searching for clues in the documents. “Look, doctor. I know, I know… You want to find out what we can do to prevent TD80 from spreading any longer, but our main objective right now is to escape.”
The Doctor. James Harrison didn’t listen to what his friend had to say, in fact he interrupted him.
“I think I found it out!” Bursting out his words of excitement threw both of them off-guard. The doctor never acted quite like this. “So? What is it?”
“Well, it’s not regarding TD80 but it is related to our- Your escape.”
“My escape? What do you mean by that?” The doctor stared deep into his eyes.
“SoS signals can be programmed into the jet rocket, although I fear there’s only one seat.”
“The ♥♥♥♥ do you mean seat? It’s a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ rocket, right? You’re not supposed to sit in it.”
“You don’t get it. The jet rocket currently installed into the left-bottom silo has technology unlike anything else!”
“Bold statement. Tell me more, James.”
2000 - The Abduction
The following segment is from a notebook from an American doctor stationed on an island near Siberia.
Date: 26th of June 2000
I’m not the best person of me. I’ve worked here for about 3 years now, having taken captive alongside a few colleagues from the CIA. The Russians didn’t exactly abduct us, it doesn’t feel like it. We have easy access to all our living needs. All we must do is tinker often with various anomalies.
The job honestly started out as a chore until just recently. They dragged in a new cat. From what the lead of our project told me; he is American, 38 and an Ex-NATO Recon member. Guy does not seem exactly pleased that he’s here. I wonder what they will do to teach him a lesson.
Date: 29th of June 2000
I’m not the best person of me. I am sorry God. I’m sorry for betraying my people and my country to help scum…
I saw him. The new guy. Just not in a way I thought I would. They told me to experiment on him with the TD80 and its effects. Research was fine, but this is just too far. Someone of my own country, being tortured by someone who still believes in the same standards as them. Horrible. I am a horrible person. I wouldn’t be surprised if I somehow ruin everything for them in the coming days. Those bastards deserve it.
2001 - Abduction
An island not far off from Siberia. You have been abducted by a Russian research team. Before your final day of being experimented on, an outbreak happened in the lab. Launching a minor-affected pocket dimension all around the island. There is no way to escape as reality dissolves outside. The freezing cold harbours humanoid creatures in cloaks. Are the depths of the ocean at fault? Or is it perhaps the Russians for awakening these creatures? One things for sure. You won't find your escape here. The boat is broken. You're left stranded. How long will you hold out? Will rescue magically come?
2001 - Resolution 01
New information has been uncovered regarding the unconventional weaponry found at various TD80 influenced areas. As you all may know, the TD80 is bound to circular zones all around the globe. These zones are hosts for unreal planes of this Earth. Recently, working together with the Russians, we found that these planes are in fact easier to get into than we thought. We have researched a lot of people regarding their biological background to see who would fit the bill to be pulled in. It is seemingly random. However, with the portal-like technology that the Nevada incident at Site 68 provided, we have found the solution. However, our mission is to replicate these teleporters we had made, not enter the pocket dimensions. Why? You ask? Execute decision. Apparently, none of us have been able to create the exact replica from Site 68, only the unstable ones which we have recovered quite a lot from disrupted pocket sites. We must also put a stop to the disruptions as it may very well lead to a… “Zombie Apocalypse” on Earth, outside of their dimension. For the betterment of mankind, that is the last thing we want. To think it took us this long to even figure out about the pocket dimensions is inexcusable. Dismissed.
2004 - Corroded Site
APEF was the solution to a glaring problem. The first recorded case of pocket dimensional occurrences.
Lord William’s plateau was put in ruin due to not only the pocket dimensions causing zombie reign, but also the start of a world war in 1939
In December, APEF sent a task force out to assess the situation and close the portals once and for all.
2005 - Operation Monolith
This topic will follow multiple pocket sites at once. Therefore, the reports have been split up for each event which was chosen to be a part of Operation Monolith’s larger purpose.

Lead Operator: Victor Frost
Casualties: Redacted
Mission State: Failed
Mission Objective: Capture Bravo Point
What happened:
Bravo Point was ultimately contaminated with large amounts of concentrated radiation which rendered area of interest impossible to enter without risking several squad’s lives. Ultimately, the only squadron which was sent in was our Suicide Team. They have known to survive several different accounts of extreme conditions. Including a power plant explosion. They were given the right equipment, however their leader lost contact with us three days into the OP. Higher Executives had set the mission as high-priority compared to other Insurgency-related activities, but they did not want to fund the OP. Later, the Anti-Pocket Execution Force took over. Our report was jaded. We did not know if they recovered Suicide Team or not. One thing is sure, more was there than what we were led to believe. My theory is APEF’s mission was to dissolve the objective, not extract Suicide Team but to decompose everything inside it. I assume it failed as we are not allowed within our jurisdiction anymore. What is their objective?

2006 - Restriction
Classified, classified, Russia
Russia’s underground port facility is deemed MA as it gets swallowed up by the pocket on top of it. The only lasting remnants is that of the standard issue port built on top. Why the general was not swallowed and only the facility was is yet to be known.
The Russian government knowing they are in trouble; Formed a pact with Siberia and created a new task force like that of APEF known as the Rossiyskiye Kvantovyye Destabilizatory (RKD for short)
Their motives are still unknown.
2007 – Stabilization of Middle Eastern Countries
The APEF seeks to stabilize middle Eastern countries. RKD has different motives, and a war ensues between the countries. This results in the “swallowing” of Iraq and both forces pull back after a year of war.
Every citizen related to the incident are either MIA or KIA.
The Chinese government establishes a sector in Saudi Arabia to take control.
2008 – The Mechanical Demon
Operation Hell Pig was carried out 50 days before the recorded appearance of ‘The Mechanical Demon’ as RKD’s 1-2 unit refers to it as. For the sake of clarity, we will refer to it as “TD80-W” however. TD80-W seems to be verbally documented beforehand too. Any further information is classified.
2014 – NP
Both the RKD and APEF were deemed to be scumbags by a large group of people. These people betrayed their oath to their nation and to their “faction”. Some became lone wolves and others decided they should put matters into their own hands. They would save the world.
The charisma they had adopted from their influence and words in politics made it easy to discuss with NERO scientists. This ended with them partnering. Both wanted greater purpose. However, their partnering was secretive. This was to keep them out of danger. Any traitors within the partnership would be taken care of. Northern Petrol & NERO were the foundation. Friends of Suicide Team, learning of their transmitted words through frequencies in sub-zero temperatures. They were so close, yet so far to assist them. One day, they faded away. However, their tactics and wisdom were carried out to NP’s militia. “Team Dynasty”, in honour of Suicide Team. They would succeed where they failed. For the good of all humanity.
6th of July 2015 - Daymare
Suicide Team has been lost to the rift. Declared MIA. However transmitted intel shows that an old soviet facility stores an artifact pre-dating the first recorded pocket dimension. Team Dynasty will be sent on-site to recover the 'Fury's Song' and take samples from the site. Potential rift damage is 78% or higher. Radiation levels are on par with that of the aftermath 1998. Hazmat suits are recommended.
7th of July 2015 - Daymare PT2
Team Dynasty recovers the artifact from site, escaping a day later. Whilst in turmoil, they had met a three-headed alien-like creature similar to the robed monsters found in various high-rift locations. Any further information requires higher legislation.
2015 - Operation Daymare
Team Dynasty. The successors to Suicide Team, had successfully completed their first large scale operation. “Operation Daymare”. However, weary from battle, they knew it was not over. Now that the artifact known as the “Fury’s Song” had been acquired, they knew the Russians were on-foot to capture their ‘rightful property’. Team Dynasty had to travel to the arctic wasteland to speak with NERO. A foundation built with the intent of corruption. No data leakage towards Russian Nationals or anything of the sort.
Upon arriving at NERO’s Headquarters. NERO examined the weapon further. It was indeed “Fury’s Song”. The foundation had spent the past ten year secretly researching runes from the rifts, and their counterpart “Pocket Dimensions”. It seems the “Fury’s Song” was used to defeat three known evils. The Necromancer, The Devil, and the Vampire. Having uncovered this, the weapon itself shot bolts of red lightning which tore holes open, which led to other pocket dimensions. Many of the undead streamed in, killing three of Team Dynasty’s members and a large portion of NERO staff. Many did fortunately survive through the teleporter in the nuclear bunker. The teleporter broke, however. Trapping them in a loop.
26th of August 2016 - Blizzard
Russian forces have been sent out to NERO headquarters to detain Team Dynasty, however they soon learn the team had met their demise and so had the NERO staff. In conversation with the commander, their mission was clear; Neutralize the undead at NERO headquarters and take hold of any valuable information.
28th of August 2016 - The Light In The Dark Pt. 1

Survivors of NERO join NP after NP's hospitality. The only surviving member of Team Dynasty is listed as MIA.
Location: MB-NP = Main Base - NP
NP experiments on hooded aliens recovered from a Serbian facility.
The Voices of Seraph begins to appear from Subject 69.
All experiments are halted due to the downward spiral of NP scientists, especially NERO Defectors.
One incident lists that Doctor Henrick Lauritzen broke the only functioning teleportation device.
30th of August 2016 - The Light In The Dark Pt. 2
MB-NP falls apart and another pocket circle opens. This is their last stand.
2016 - Operation Shark Fin
The Russian Force which was sent to NERO’s HQ are KIA. Fury’s Song collapsed in on itself and fractured, opening dimensions to worse beasts than what anyone has seen. Everyone was killed and the radioactivity made all ice melt and life uninhabitable within a 10-kilometre radius.
Operation Shark Fin was deemed a failure. Partnership with NERO was unofficially broken up the same year.
11th of November 2016 - RKD's 5th Initialization
RKD, Task Force Drakon, Squad Members: 4
Preparation: Operatsiya Krov'Glotatel'nyy Refleks (Operation Blood Swallowing Reflex)
Date of Operation: 16 of November 2016 to 1st of October 2016
Mission: Recover and craft a body for Announcer One
DATALOG - Announcer One
Voltor, The Vocal Companion, was originally designed to be a voice for the blind people in
the testing facilities, so they could receive the information on the sign verbally. However,
as the creators had a hard time making Voltor reliable and functional, they decided to scrap
the project. But when later a verbal assistant was needed for conveying information, the project
was resumed. They needed something in the suits for radioactive missions that could tell them
what bioeffect had kicked
in from the zombies blood. Extensive research had shown that the zombies' blood could form
invisible clouds if the zombie had a virus or other form for sickness. These clouds can create
an aura that in some instances makes the zombies incredibly vulnerable, summon crates with
weapons in the area, or even occasionally refill your magazines. The scientist does not
have a very good explanation as to why this happens, however, they know it does.
Voltor got mounted a camera that was able to see and recognize the clouds, that are invisible
to the human eye, and then charismatically say it in the speaker inside the suit.
U-DATALOG - Ancrash
Recovery of archaic Nazi Germany papers show a scientific art piece related to a fictional world known as "Ancrash". We do not fully know what Ancrash is but we know it must have a link to the Rift & it's otherworlds. Anymore documents seem to have been scrambled in runic language. The Xenia Corporation has been contacted about this matter and they will look more into it.

@NotLexa Thank you very much! Of course i'll update it when i come around to it. Probably by the next config or so i'll be puttin' a link for the add-ons in question.
However for now, i've got a collection link that shows all the configs under it's name that shouldn't be too hard to browse especially when most lore sections related to specific maps have pictures in the guide!

I like that you created a giant lore for a series of fanmade gmod map configs based on a series of games with a giant lore in it. So crazy, I love it. Could you please leave a link to related addons in the workshop under some headings?
