This map is a modified version of rp_downtown_v4c to be preset to night with moving stars. This was achieved using the "painted" skybox and a preset env_skypaint. This means the sky CAN be edited using the sky editor. I added a secret room with teleports to and from the room. The teleport to the room is in a tunnel. Not saying which one. You'll have to find it for yourself. If you are walking in that tunnel don't be suprised if you randomly get teleported as this means you walked over the trigger. The tele out of the room is in a corner. You will have to find out which corner it is though. If you are the original maker of the map and you don't want this published, tell me. I wish to resolve any disputes peacefully.

I don't have the vmf for this map anymore, it was lost due to a hard disk failure. Sorry, but I can't update the map without a decompile of the bsp

Making the skybox black doesn't make it night.

@Lutha, point of fact, garry never set up the gmod map editor, you need to use the one from source 2013 in a way that it will be able to use content from gmod and other games. I used a tool to make a custom config which essentially created a dummy game that couldn't be used to play, but could be used in hammer for mapping. i hope that will help you. and fyi, source sdk is being phased out. hammer map editor is now in the bin folder of most new source games. But as i said, gmod hammer is not active. I hope this post helps out anybody who wants to map in gmod.

Yes, that was one of the first things i tried when i downloaded the map, but it only changes the sky, not the lightning, that's why i'm suggesting enabling fog editing, with certain tweaks, it can make a map darker and still allow for additional light sources (Lamps, lights, etc).

It's too bad that now you are having problems with this map, i don't know a lot about mapping (Heck, i can't even get SDK to work), but i wish you success.

@Lutha i forgot to mention this: the sky editor works in this map. the skybox is the "painted" texture. it's night because of an env_skypaint i added and configured

@.lOnke^ #EskapisteN the window texture isn't a nodraw. it was a failed map teleport. i didn't use the trigger texture and now it's glitched. BADLY, and it's not total darkness for me. the lights in the map still lit it for me. i don't have the texture bug, and i know it has to do with content. cubemaps probably make it worse. The floor problem i NEVER had. And another likely culprit is the fact that my original vmf was made by bspsrc aka a map DECOMPILER! This map was based on the original v4c. Also, the window texture, i'm likely not fixing.
