4v4 -F6- Truce Mountain

You can fight both through the middle and over the top of of this mountain. The vanilla weapons are limited in terms of getting over the mountain. This map is therefore the most fun when powerful vertical weapons are enabled via mods. A vertical stack of portals inside the mountain provide the initial truce. Anything fired into the truce portals before the truce ends will be returned to the sender. But there is no truce over the top of the mountain. When the game starts, an array of wood at the top of the mountain will begin to burn. Once it is all burned off, the truce wall will fall allowing both sides to fire across the inside of the mountain."

The truce wall burns long enough for you to build out a capable economy and some weapons to use before the truce ends. Focusing on your economy first is usually a good strategy. Be ready with good defenses and a good offense by the time the truce ends. Consider playing this map with powerful vertical weapons which are enabled via mods. If you do, one of the best strategies is to build vertical weapons early on and to catch your enemy by surprise. This can also be achieved by combining vertical portals with weapons like the canon or making T3 style cannons. Your vertical weapons can wreak havoc on their economy in the rear of the base and permanently stunt their base growth, giving you the long term advantage. Conversely, also look to the skies over the mountain top for your enemy executing the same strategy.
