Welcome
This is a decent sized guide to help you on your journey to make some stonks.
Please take your time to enjoy this guide as I will update it every now and then to try and make it look better, as well as inform people of any new ways of making cash, which usually comes with every new update.
Session Type
Now, it's important to think of what session you want to be in and what kind of stuff you'll be doing when you're grinding away for your $$$.

For starters, are you likely to be griefed doing a CEO sale, by yourself in a public session with 20 other people in the lobby? Probably, yes.

GTA is thankfully allowing people to do these things in relatively safe environments now... Friends-only & Invite only sessions. It won't stop pesky random modders but it's much better than the alternative.
Friends & Crews
Doing things by yourself is cool, everyone likes the lone wolf. However, doing things by yourself usually takes longer and can be a royal pain in the rear end. Especially when things like the Casino Heist requires more than one person to do.

I recommend searching the Steam Discussions for friendly like minded people & crews who are willing to help you in your quest for stonks.
Contact Missions
Although they don't pay much, we all gotta start somewhere.
You can do a variety of these missions for all your favourite people like Creepy Uncle Lester, Homeboy Lamar, Sleezy Simeon... Even your crazy Hillbilly Cousin Trevor. These are usually best for low-levels who don't have any business's, but they are fun to do if you're just bored.
CEO / MC Missions + Client Jobs
These missions are lit, they only require a CEO or MC and can get yourself $20K+ in less than 5mins. Depending on what kind of lobby you're in, mission type and what kind of vehicles/weapons you use obviously.
If done effectively within 30mins you could be up a solid $100K.
CEO Cargo / Vehicle Cargo
Personally, this is one of my favourite methods of money making in GTA. Not only does it provide the player with a decent amount of Stonks, but it also gives a hefty amount of RP. However, like with the rest of GTA though, all you have to do to be successful is avoid Griefers, Modders and / or bad drivers in strange vehicles.

If you're doing this in public sessions, Vehicle Cargo is one of the safest cargo's to sell if you're only selling High End vehicles. If you use Ghost Organisation in the CEO menu, and have good driving skills, you can probably make it before the 3 minutes of Ghost organisation runs out with minimal / no damage.

For Special Cargo, getting the Boat sale with Ghost Organisation is also one of the safest. There's a speed upgrade you can buy for it in any of your Special Cargo Warehouses. Look for the giant mechanic's toolbox. (Upgrades purchased in one warehouse is shared across all warehouses).

Nightclub / Auto Shop / Arcade
Everyone loves passive income. Why work for your cash like every other loser when you can just have it fall right into your hands?
The Nightclub is perfect for this, and allows you to obtain Business Battle Goods too if you wish to speed things up. All you need to do, is fill up your warehouse with the goods, deliver the goods & you can be up $1mil+.
You can also gain $50K Per In-Game day if you keep your Nightclub popularity at max level.

The Auto-Shop is pretty decent, it can get you a $30K - $50K bonus for modding a NPC's vehicle to their specifications. Rather boring but it's a decent earner. It also allows you to find high end vehicles that you can find on the streets of LS, which you can then take to the docks for an additional payment of $20K.
We also got some Contracts, which can pay around $150K+ if you're the host.
If you don't have a lot of time but fancy doing something quick to get you something nice... Like some cookies, why not do a contract?

The Arcade, is also a passive income business, but on a smaller scale to the Nightclub. You have no need for popularity missions, so you will always get $5K every in-game day from the Arcade. (You can also set-up the Casino Heist here, more on this in a moment).
Heists
There are many heists to do in GTAO. From the Original Heists (which requires 4 people + a high-end apartment), too the Doomsday heists (which requires 2 people minimum + a facility), to the Casino Heist (which requires 2 people minimum + an arcade) to the Cayo Perico (which can be done solo + requires a Kosatka Submarine). Yeah you get it... There's a few heists out there, each requiring something different each time.

The best heists in my opinion? Cayo Perico (Sneaky), Casino Heist (Aggressive, Big Con) and Act 1 & 2 of the Doomsday Heists.
These heists require the least effort to set up and can get you the best amount of cash, if you have a decent team that is.
Payphone Hits, V.I.P Contracts & Short Trips
So, you all remember the assassination work that Lester got Franklin (you) to do in the campaign, that manipulated the stock market and allowed the Original Protagonists to earn literal Billions of $$$ if they worked it right?
Well, good news is they've brought at least some part of that to the online mode. Not the stock market part unfortunately, just the assassination part. Now if you just kill the target, it can gain you $15K, which isn't a whole lot on its own, but if you manage to do the bonus objective, which is usually incredibly easy, it gives you a nice little paycheck of $30K on top of that, leading to a decent $45K, just for a quick assassination or two.

Also, If you also own the Agency and end up partnering with Franklin, you can work on V.I.P Contracts which can earn you anywhere between $30K to $70K+ per Contract, plus after a certain amount of missions, it'll increases your daily safe income which is always nice.

Now for the final part of this section, the Short Trips. A Co-op Mission that puts you and another player in the perspectives of Franklin & Lamar. Available in the Job Section, there is a total of 3 Missions, earning you $50k each for the first time completion.

Cluckin Bell Farm Raid
This series of missions from Vincent, can lead to a decent payout for players. If you're the leader that is.
The set-ups can be time consuming if you're going solo & you'd probably benefit greatly from having a friend / random or two tagging along just to speed things up.

The Finale grants a bonus $500K to the Host & a smaller $50K to any associates that have tagged along.
Bail Bond Missions
While this isn't the most lucrative way of making bank in the game, it does provide you with something else to do in the game, especially if you don't want to get burned out doing the same old stuff.

The Most Wanted bounties pay over $100K for essentially a 10 minute mission. If you're successful in not killing the target that is. (Bring a stun gun).
While the other bounties aren't as great in pay, at around $30K - $40K for a similar amount of time.

Salvage Yard
The salvage yard is a decent little earner.
Working with Yusuf Amir, you can set up a heist of the vehicular kind. Steal a high end car and then sell it on for $200K - $400K, depending on the car.
Note: There is a massive drawback for this & that you can only do 3 of these heists a week.

You can also do regular tow truck missions, which can pay you $30K - $50K per vehicle scrapped.
This will also increase your business's daily income to a total of $24K. However, if you don't do these on a semi-regular basis, this income will eventually fall to the base income of $300.

Casino Missions
Some of these missions are a royal pain in the rear end, but the rewards are worth it. These missions are unlocked by owning a Casino Penthouse.

These missions can used to be co-op, but can now be done solo. It can earn you at least 50K per mission on your first time completion via Awards. These Award bonuses can only be achieved once. Here's how it goes:

1 - Casino - Loose Cheng ($50k)
2 - Casino - House Keeping ($50k)
3 - Casino - Strong Arm Tactics ($50k)
4 - Casino - Play to Win ($50k)
5 - Casino - Bad Beat ($50k)
6 - Casino - Cashing Out ($100k)

• Completing all of these as a Crew Member will earn you $100k.
• Completing all of these as a Host will earn you $100k and the Paragon R (Armored). - Rare car, can only be gained by these missions or the Lucky Wheel.
• Completing all of these in order, from top to bottom from the list above, will earn you $500k.

In the grand scheme of things, will this increase your money making capabilities? No.
Does it essentially pay for itself? Pretty much. By doing the missions and the awards, you're getting a solid $1Mil+ and a rare car.
x2 or x3 Events
Now and then, Rockstar will do something and make specific events x2 or x3 $$$ and RP.
These, depending on the mode, are actually really great earners for cash.
Usually you should stick to your strengths, so if it's a x2 or x3 on Rockstar Verified Stunt Racing and you're not particularly good at any part of Stunt Racing, chances are you won't make much out of it. But if it's a Deathmatch or Suvival, and you consider yourself a PVP/PVE God, it might just be your lucky day, and chances are you will make loads of cash from it.
The Lucky Wheel
It's not the best way to make Stonks, but it can be helpful. You may get lucky & win the car you've always wanted, saving you a little on the side... You may just be the opposite & not so lucky by winning a terrible piece of clothing that you'll never wear because it's ugly and ORANGE.

Conclusion
Good job, you've either read the whole guide, or just skipped to the end, either way congratulations.
Hopefully this will help you on your journey to make big stonks. Or it may just make you think about how much effort it is to make stonks and just give up.
None the less, hope it helped and good luck. :D

You're welcome! I'm just passionate about people earning more money by playing the Online's stories. Thank you for the credit as well!

This "All In Order" challenge is also available for the Apartment Heists. Same thing, now a million dollar reward. The last 27 Apartment Heist missions you played have to follow the Top to Bottom order in the board, no exceptions, even when more than one are unlocked at a time. Same for the Doomsday Heists, but the reward can be disappointing in that one.

@Ratchet Lombax, Cheers for the run-down :D , it's such a great run-down you could be putting my guide out of business, people will be coming to this guide for the comment section alone. (I'm joking of course, it's appreciated). I'll make a few edits to incorporate your suggestions into the main guide and i'll make sure to give credit where it's due. :)

Also a tip for Vehicle Cargo, they're the safest cargo to sell if you're only selling High End vehicles, if you use Ghost Organization in the CEO menu and can make it before the 3 minutes of GO run out.

For Special Cargo, getting the Boat sale with Ghost Organization is also the safest, if i'm right! There's a speed upgrade you can buy for it in any of your Special Cargo Warehouses. Look for the giant mechanic's toolbox

If you can find someone to host the Diamond Casino missions for you, unlocked by owning a Casino Penthouse, you can earn at least 50k per mission via Awards. These Award bonuses can only be achieved once. Here's how it goes:

1 - Casino - Loose Cheng (50k)
2 - Casino - House Keeping (50k)
3 - Casino - Strong Arm Tactics (50k)
4 - Casino - Play to Win (50k)
5 - Casino - Bad Beat (50k)
6 - Casino - Cashing Out (100k)

• Completing any of these without anyone losing a life will earn you a 50k bonus.
Only achieveable once. For example, don't lose a life in Strong Arm Tactics and you will earn 50k on top of the mission Award's 50k, but cannot be earned again in any other mission.

• Completing all of these as a Crew Member will earn you 100k.
• Completing all of these as a Host will earn you 100k and the Paragon R (Armored).
• Completing all of these in order, meaning have these six missions have to be the last Diamond Casino Penthouse missions you have played, from top to bottom from the list above, will earn you 500k.

Having all this in mind, you can earn up to 1 million in one playthrough, but these are all achievable one time per Game ownership, if i'm not mistaken, and if you buy a Penthouse to unlock these, you're really only getting a 1 million discount out of the 1.5 million base price.

@J*star , Glad it helped. And the so called "homophobia" was nothing more than comedic relief at the expense of useless hackers and modders :)

very helpful rundown, appreciate it! FWIW I'd have twice the respect for ya if you just nix'd the very small bit of homophobia at the end....
