- Animation framerate can now be set to arbitrary rate. (defaults to 60 but can be freely adjusted in the ini; set to 30 if you prefer the unpatched game's update rate)
- Several patches so player interaction properly adjusts to selected animation framerate -- some actions would become too fast or too slow by default. The patched values can also be adjusted in the ini.
- Resolution can now be set to arbitrary resolutions reported by your GPU/Monitor.
- CPU usage on some threads is now no longer unnecessarily high.
- Reports process as High-DPI aware so it doesn't get scaled by Windows.
- Fixes the crash some people experience when trying to 'pit' jury members.
- Has option (disabled by default) to move the multi-witness slider bar, as its default position may cover up some animations.

All options are can be enabled/disabled or configured in dgs.ini.

NOTE: The game expects to always run at the configured target framerate. If you're running this on a very low performance CPU or GPU and cannot consistently reach 60 FPS, you should change the FPS setting in the config file to the stock 30 for a better experience.

Compatible with the initial release version on Steam, both the build with Japanese text support and the build without, as well as the update from 2023-07-10. Will likely stop working if another update happens.

I tried your suggestion of turning on the mono settings and the sound effects work again! Thanks so much!

No, I can't say I've seen that. But that sounds like it's trying to output to the wrong audio channels, eg. you have configured Surround sound but only have two speakers. Try looking around both the in-game audio settings and your Windows audio settings if anything is fishy there.

https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/app/1158850/discussions/0/4687682349643605662/ suggests that you can 'fix' this by forcing Mono in the Windows settings, but that seems like a rather poor workaround. Still, maybe it helps.

Hi, I tried out your mod yesterday, and I followed the instructions for the Windows version.

However, when starting the game, some sound was missing (the text being typed out, sound affects, the click noises when you're moving from one menu to the next, etc). The BGM is still there though.

I uninstalled the mod as per instructions by deleting DINPUT8.dll to see if that would help, and the issue still persisted after that.

I uninstalled the game, verified the files, I even uninstalled and reinstalled steam but the issue still persists.

Have you encountered this issue before? And if so, do you know how to fix it?

Thank you for the guide! Especially the steam deck installation. Works perfectly. So weird to see the game in 90fps on the Steam Deck OLED after playing it on Switch at 30fps.
