Hello!
This guide was made to catalogue and walk you through all of the features of Wobbledogs. Although I hope to keep this guide error-free and updated with all of the latest features, there will no doubt be missing information and discrepancies here and there. If you see something wrong with the guide, or something you'd like added, please comment down below! I'll try to get it fixed A.S.A.P.

If you're having trouble finding anything use CTRL + F to open a dialogue box in the top-right of the guide. This will allow you to search for words much quicker! The arrow buttons to the side of the dialogue box will allow you to navigate between individual instances of the searched words in the guide.
Life Cycle
General
The life cycle is one of the core features of your save. Progress of the life cycle can be halted by refusing to pupate your Wobbledog or placing them in storage, allowing further access to certain features and extending their over-all lifespan. Imported Wobbledogs will remain the life stage they were at when their code was copied, but the amount of minutes they've been alive will be reset.



Egg
Wobbledogs, likely being more closely related to arthropods than mammals, hatch from eggs. A healthy adult Wobbledog will lay a single unfertilized egg either shortly after reaching adulthood or shortly after being dropped into the save game via importation. An unhealthy Wobbledog (one who has accumulated Scaph in its gut prior to laying an egg) will lay a large clutch of dud eggs instead of an unfertilized egg. Dud eggs cannot be collected like regular eggs, but can instead be eaten by other Wobbledogs for more unhealthy gut flora.

Puppy
Puppies are the first life stage, and the most risky life stage to import into a save due to the high variability of their subsequent mutations. Puppies are the most influential form of Wobbledog, and will train much quicker than their older companions (1 pip per interaction).

Juvenile
Juveniles are the second life stage, and probably the most determinate life stage of your Wobbledog's development. Any changes that happen during your puppy's first mutation will likely shape how you feed and expand upon them in the future. They're still very responsive to training at this stage (1 pip per interaction), and tend to focus more on interacting with other Wobbledogs rather than playing and bouncing around by themselves.

Teen
Teens are the third life stage, and arguably the most mundane. Not as receptive to training as the prior life stages (1 pip per 2 interactions), nor as independent as the latter.

Young Adult
Young adults are the fourth life stage, and the best to import if you're looking to complete genetics-based achievements. Due to the requirements of achievements such as "Short" and "More Of Them!" stating that you must hatch or mutate a dog with the entailed features, importing an adult dog from another save won't fulfill the achievement. Despite having reached (young) adulthood, and thus maturity, they are unable to reproduce or lay eggs during this life stage. They train at about the same rate as teens (1 pip per 2 interactions).

Adult
Adults are the fifth life stage, and the last natural life stage. After this point is reached, Wobbledogs will no longer mutate, and can thus eat just about anything they want without repercussion. Default and achievement wobbledogs can usually take care of themselves at this point (unless they get stuck, as is often the case), however the vast majority of heavily-mutated dogs will still need to be cared for by the player due to decreased mobility. Once this stage is reached, your Wobbledog will soon either lay an unfertilized egg or a clutch of dud eggs, and can now breed with other adult and/or ancient Wobbledogs. They train slowly (1 pip per 3 interactions).

Ancient
Ancients are the sixth life stage, and the final life stage living Wobbledogs experience. Ancient Wobbledogs are created by cracking open dog cores from deceased Wobbledogs and feeding them to living Wobbledogs to add more time to their lifespan. The higher the quality of the dog core, the more time is added to the lifespan of the consumer. A Wobbledog becomes ancient when an adult outlives the age cap of your save. Do note however: Ancient Wobbledogs can die of old age if they run out of additional time. To keep an ancient alive, it must be regularly fed more cores to add more time. Ancients are by far the least receptive to training (1 pip per 4 interactions), but they accumulate a unique gut flora in their guts over time that can be spread to puppies by way of breeding the ancients.
Ancients can be created without dog cores via glitch on deathless saves. To perform this glitch, store all of your Wobbledogs except for the adult you want to age up. Then make sure it's in an open area with little obstruction. For this next part make sure you're ready to act fast and save beforehand just in case. Open up your menu, set the dog age cap to 0, then turn dog death on. Immediately close the window and dismiss the death notifications. Reopen the options menu and turn dog death back off. Close the pause menu, pick up your Wobbledog, and start wiggling it around. If it doesn't explode and the notification keeps popping up, the trick worked. Save, exit, and re-enter. The Wobbledog should be an ancient now.

Death
All Wobbledogs go to heaven, unless you disable dog death in the gameplay options menu (to the bottom-right of the regular options menu accessed from the pause menu). Once your Wobbledog finally succumbs to old age or starvation, it will lean onto its side and howl, eventually exploding into many pieces. All surrounding Wobbledogs will approach and howl as well, and eat the corpse of their dead companion, even if they are not hungry. Wobbledog pieces will eventually despawn if not eaten, unlike all other game items. If the body piece is consumed, it will also provide a dog core, the "heart" of the passed Wobbledog. Dog cores vary in quality depending on how the Wobbledog died. Wobbledogs who died early in life to starvation will provide low-quality cores, while Wobbledogs who lived full lives and died of old age will provide high-quality cores. These dog cores can then be cracked open and fed to living Wobbledogs in order to increase their lifespan, with higher quality cores providing more time for the recipient. Training will not carry over past death.

Ghost
Although your companion may have crossed the pearly gates, it's not exactly a one-way trip. If a dog core is memorialized there's a random chance that they may decide to return for a short time as a ghost every now and again. Their arrival is heralded by a classic organ tune and a ghastly howl. Ghosts can howl at any time they please, even if they don't have the loud trait. After your first visit from the ghost of a Wobbledog you'll unlock the ability to summon them manually by selecting the option to do so on a Wobbledog memorial. Ghosts are essential to completing the game due to achievements surrounding them, as well as a gut flora that can only be obtained by allowing a ghost to digest corporeal food. If you want these achievements but don't want your favorite fluffy friends to die, put all of your Wobbledogs in storage, hatch a default egg, raise it to adulthood, turn dog death back on (and set the death age really low), and return everything back to normal after the default Wobbledog dies. This will provide you with a single ghost to do everything required on your save.
Breeding & Raising
Simulation
Once you have two adult Wobbledogs, those Wobbledogs can be bred via the Breeding Simulation accessed from the egg icon on the left of the screen. The simulation itself mixes the genetics of your two selected Wobbledogs, both the dominant traits you see on the dog, and the recessive traits that they still carry from the previous generations. However, the simulation will also often throw in mutations. The less stable the simulation gets, the more frequent and extreme the mutations become. Simulation stability decreases with each subsequent generation. Tiny litters, which mark the end of the simulation's abilities, also become much more frequent as the simulation stability decreases. However simulations can last long after you've reached 0% stability as long as you remain lucky. Once a final dog is selected and a fertilized egg acquired, your brand-new Wobbledog will be waiting in the incubator until you choose to hatch it.

Tailoring
Once a Wobbledog has been hatched, it should be separated from your other Wobbledogs and placed near food dispensers of your choosing. As young Wobbledogs are often far less mobile than adults, this is to reduce risk of your young Wobbledog giving up on reaching actual food and choosing to eat poop and dirt instead. Choose your food wisely, and make sure that if you have a specific goal in mind you're coming towards that goal from all angles. For example, if you want to make the tiniest cube dog possible, you should not only be feeding it chicken nuggets to decrease its body size, but also moon cheese to ensure it does not get any wider, taller, or longer as it mutates. Once your Wobblepup has reached adulthood, it is safe to reintroduce to Wobblesociety.
Breeding can be made much easier by cloning your Wobbledogs. This allows you to create breeding pairs from one egg, or restart if a mutation doesn't go as planned. Wobbledogs can be cloned by copying the export code in the storage menu and then importing that same code.
Additionally, individual gut flora can be made stronger by introducing Crysilia to the system. The Crysilia will, given enough time, infuse itself into other gut flora, creating "[Gut flora]+". The + versions have a much greater affect than regular gut flora, and can be identified easily by their green tint.
Other Activities
Digging
One of the first things you may have noticed your Wobbledogs doing is digging! Every room may have up to 3 dens (the number of which you can customize in the upper-right in build mode), and your Wobbledogs will dig up dirt until its construction is complete. You can speed up this process by dragging the dirt clumps manually to the den site, or halt its progress entirely by obstructing the path to the den site (such as surrounding it with walls). You can command your Wobbledogs to dig by clicking on the ground and selecting the "Dig!" option, which is a very efficient way to get capsules and seed packets quickly, if not a tad labor-intensive.



Training
As mentioned previously in this guide, training your Wobbledogs is in fact possible by encouraging or discouraging certain activities as they happen. For example, if your Wobbledog bites another Wobbledog you can quickly select the offending Wobbledog and discourage biting by selecting the "Scold" option. Encouraging/discouraging also affects the Wobbledog's association with an object, however. So you could make a Wobbledog compulsively hoard toys but never touch food. Training is most efficient in the earliest life stages but can be successfully performed to its fullest in all of them. While some trainable habits can be performed by ordering the Wobbledog to do so ("Manual Training"), others are passive habits that can only be enacted by the Wobbledog itself ("Autonomous Training").
Manual trainable habits include: Digging, rolling over, barking, sitting, sleeping, eating, grabbing, throwing, burying objects, hoarding objects, watching TV, dispensing food, howling (loud-only), flying (winged-only), playing dead (ancient-only), and levitating (ghost-only).
Autonomous trainable habits include: Goofing off, play bowing, complaining, growling, sneezing, shaking objects, bouncing, bucking, laying capsules, anxiety resting, biting, and dying.

Capsules
Capsules are items your Wobbledogs can either dig up or "lay" like eggs (however, unhealthy dogs with scaph and/or dirt in their guts will lay a single dud egg in place of a capsule). They're egg-shaped and come in a random assortment of colors. The cap and the base can individually be: Lime, green, yellow, ultramarine, cyan, navy, pale blue, fuchsia, or red. The color of the line separating the top and bottom are decided by the color of the base. Capsules, when opened, will reward the player with an item that can be placed in build mode. All build mode items that aren't obtained through goal rewards are obtained through capsules.
Gut Flora Part 1
General
Gut flora is one of the core features of Wobbledogs as a species and in the game. Gut flora encourages the growth of certain traits of Wobbledogs as they grow from puppies to adulthood, while others still can make your Wobbledogs sick. However, Wobbledogs do not appear to require a variety of gut flora to remain in optimal health, unlike in real life, where the microbiome of multicellular organisms performs a wide array of different functions to help or harm the body as a whole.

Achievements Part 1
General

Achievements, or Goals as they're known in-game, are tasks assigned to the player in a menu near the top of the screen. The player will get rewards for completing these tasks, and some of the rewards are even essential to completing the game. Although many tasks provide their own unique challenges, many are easier to complete together with other achievements. Plan wisely.

Hidden goals and rewards will be (mostly) blacked out for those avoiding spoilers. Hover over them with your mouse to reveal the text below.

Open a capsule by clicking one and selecting the yellow "Open Capsule" option. Wobbledogs will naturally dig up capsules as well as lay them like eggs over the course of regular gameplay.

Click-and-hold a puddle on the floor. Puddles can be made by opening Wobbledog Cocoons, choking on or vomiting up food, and randomly spawned by your Wobbledogs. It is made blissfully uncertain whether the randomly-spawned puddles are slobber, urine, or the physical, liquefied manifestations of your Wobbledogs' happiness.

This achievement can be somewhat challenging if you're not constantly pupating Wobbledogs. If you are playing a casual run, perhaps it would be wise to let this achievement slide and only pursue it as the opportunity arises while you complete your other achievements.

Wobbledogs will occasionally defecate as the game progresses. Surprisingly, how often they do this does not appear to be directly connected to how much, or if, they eat. Click the turd and select the yellow "Clean Up" option to remove it.

If you're fond of managing a large amount of dogs at once, this achievement should only take around an hour to complete casually. If not, try hatching and managing more dogs. It'll make this process quicker.

Repeatedly force-feed your Wobbledog food even after they're full. Or, feed them one too many dirt clumps. Wobbledogs really can't stomach dirt clumps. Choking on food doesn't count towards this achievement.

Getting this achievement means that you have to discover every gut flora and everything that causes gut flora in the game as well as every gut flora effect. Check the Gut Flora section of the guide for more help/detail.

Wait for a Wobbledog to reach the end of its old age... or starve to death. The quickest (and safest) option is to remove all of your valuable Wobbledogs until you have one adult Wobbledog left outside of storage. Then, turn on Dog Death and set the maximum adult dog age to 0. After the Wobbledog passes, turn dog death off and reset aging to normal and return the rest of your Wobbledogs. Consider allowing its body to be eaten and saving the core.

Breeding your Wobbledog to be missing one specific leg can be a bit difficult. I've found that the easiest method, rather than feeding dogs cocoons or praying for simulation RNG, is to breed a legless dog with a 4-legged dog. Their pups will all initially have 4 legs until you crossbreed from the first batch. After that point, start paying attention to the legs. Hatch and care for a Wobbledog with no legs until it reaches adulthood. You have to hatch the puppy yourself for this achievement. If you're having issues with starving, depressed puppies, try placing them in a secluded room with a gravity machine set to the anti-grav setting. Then, toss a bunch of food up into the air and pet the puppy whenever it gets bored. You will likely still have to toss it a food item every now and again, but it'll be able to get some sustenance on its own by way of running into it while afloat. To make your large dog take up as much surface area as possible, I'd also recommend adding Burritos, Corndogs, and Pizza Tubes to its diet. Toys Part 1
General
Toys are items that can be dug up by Wobbledogs or unlocked via achievements. Wobbledogs will randomly pick up and play with these objects, and can be scolded or praised for doing so. Toys can be stored in the player inventory at the top-left corner of the screen (the red ball with a gold star) and can be brought out into any room with exception of the den. Toys must be dragged into the den by dogs enacting the "hoard objects" habit. Toys are most frequently acquired through digging on certain floor types.

Plants
General
Plants are a cosmetic feature that allows you to experiment with more organic means of decorating your rooms. Plants spread at different rates to begin with, but will eventually stop growing all together. Yes, even the weeds. Some plants, however, do not spread at all. If you prune your plants to the shape and size of your desire, they will eventually stick to that design. But beware, dug holes and misplacing furniture can remove plants, effectively creating a bald spot in your gardens.

Same here on that last point. Never thought to use doggy boppers! My Wobbledogs have a habit of slipping through them, but the bopping behaviour would prevent their AI from getting stuck. Usually I scale up a fence or two and place it inside the pipe entrance (they don't actually have collision). You could probably combine walls and boppers to great success

agreed, I myself use one of those rubbery pillars. forgot what it's called, but the ones that look like a standing punching bag. placing it in front of pipe entrances that are on the ground does wonders. increase it's size to maximum. since it's a thing that by default pushes dogs back when they touch them or run into them, it's somewhat effective. if you do want to move them just use your cursor to drag them through a bit forcefully.

Super late response, but the only way to prevent Wobbledogs from navigating into tunnels without removing them is to block the tunnels physically with furniture/props. Unfortunately this doesn't mean the Wobbledogs won't TRY to enter the pipes. They may still walk endlessly into a wall in an attempt to reach the other side. But every now and again it works, just keep an eye on the dogs. It does tend to be more effort than it's worth, in the end. I'd love a little "ban entry" button for tunnels. Glad to see this guide is still helping people out!
