We are going to use the workshop scenario called "Vanilla Scenarios" for this example but this guide is the same for subscribing and using mods or addons as well.




Search the workshop for the addon, mod or scenario you wish to use. Then LMB click on the green "Subscribe" button as shown in the screenshot above.

Double LMB click on the "Take On Mars" desktop icon or start the game using the Steam GUI.

You'll get this screen showing the files being downloaded if you've subscribed to the addon, mod or scenario from the previous steps.

This screen is telling the player the game needs to restart to load in the addon, mod or scenario we subscribed to in the previous steps. If you don't see this screen popup you aren't subscribed and need to go back to Step 1.


LMB click on "Yes" to restart the game.

Now that the game has restarted from the main menu LMB click on "Addons" to open the "Addons" menu.

Now we need to enable the addon, mod or scenario, LMB click on the box under "Enable" to put an X into the box and enable the addon, mod or scenario.

Now LMB click on the "Back" button to leave the "Addons" menu and return to the main menu.


You'll get this popup window after enabling the addon, mod or scenario just LMB click on "Yes" and allow the game to restart.

NOTE:

IF YOU ENABLED MODS OR ADDONS INSTEAD OF A WORKSHOP SCENARIO PACK THE MODS AND ADDONS WILL BE FOUND IN THE 3D PRINTER GUI.


After the game has restart LMB click on "Scenarios".


Select any of the scenarios with the "(SP)" tag to play the scenarios found in the workshop item "Vanilla Scenairos".
