How to put a space into your custom candidate's experience
By REALthezombiecreeper
This guide helps new/inexperienced modders or custom candidate creators to give their candidates more spice, albeit in the simplest way; Experience.
Every candidate has experience with something, whether they were Former Vice President (Joe Biden) or simply a Senator (custom candidates). But, spaces are only allowed for their description, and not for the name or experience. It is doable though, just... somewhat trickier. But, it's still really easy once you get the hang of it and the wherewithal to navigate File Explorer.

Overview
So... I've created a custom candidate. (Not showing it because Steam sucks.) You probably have as well.
For sake of simplicity, just leave the auto-set "Senator" as their experience, customize them to your liking, SAVE, and close the game.
The Main Stretch
So, once you've opened up File Explorer, find the Candidates folder.
To find it, open "Documents", then "My Games", then "The Political Machine 2020", and "Candidates" is on the top. This folder contains all your custom candidates.
Now, find the candidatexml file. It is the second one down in a group of three per candidate.
The top is meaningless and the bottom is their picture that appears ingame in the corner and on the polls.
Open the file in a text editing software like Sublime Text or Notepad++. I use Notepad++, so that's what the tutorial is aimed at, but ones like Sublime Text should do the same things.
This is the file loaded in Notepad++. Go down to line 6 and you will see "Senator". Double click that, and type what you want.
Be sure to save and close when you're done, or else there's a slight chance of manic rage.
Viola!
And, you're done! Opening the game again, you can see that your experience has changed and now your candidate looks better!
