Incel Syndrome is an interactive visual novel. You are periodically prompted to navigate between two timelines: the PRESENT, which documents Sam's current interactions and activities; and the PAST, a manifesto-style account of his life until the present day.

After completing all PAST and PRESENT timelines, the game's epilogue is automatically unlocked.

Though you are free to choose in which order you complete both storylines, a balanced approach would be to alternate between the two. (Eg: PAST, PRESENT, PAST, etc.) This way you will get a chronological overview of the protagonists day to day life, with several flashbacks to his youth placed in between.

A different approach would be to first complete the PAST timeline before then moving on to the PRESENT. This will provide a fully chronological relaying of events.

Lastly, for a more psychoanalytical experience, you could also first complete the PRESENT timeline before adding historical context with the PAST.
