(This is a cover of an existing song, transcribed by ear and recreated using instruments from the Castlevania games for the Nintendo DS)

Timespinner is a by-the-book Metroidvania platformer from 2018 by Lunar Ray Games. It was VERY heavily inspired by the later 2D Castlevanias, especially Order of Ecclesia, and even the movement physics are pretty close to how everyone felt to control in the DS Castlevanias. The soundtrack by Jeff Ball was also patterned after the likes of Michiru Yamane's work for the Castlevania series, and he managed to replicate Yamane's dark baroque/rock style to an uncanny degree. It's not as though he ripped off any songs DIRECTLY, there's just a few tracks with very similar instrumentation and/or structure to particular Castlevania tunes. I personally had a good time with the game, but there's an awful lot of completely horizontal rooms with evenly-spaced enemies.

(I'm still trying to figure out what kind of visuals would best suit these uploads of cover songs, instead of just a picture of the game's logo/box art. Any feedback in this area would be appreciated.)
