Items Overhaul - All Followers

Description
This is an overhaul to all of the existing followers in the game, both those randomly dropped and the special ones - in order to get them in line with each other and make the less useful ones more useful while reducing the effects of the overpowered ones. Uses the same system as my other Trait Overhaul mods. Works great together with those mods (links at the bottom).

  • All randomly dropped followers have a limit of 2 follower effects (a weird exception is the Mammoth Trader for Norsca).
  • All non-randomly dropped followers have a limit of 3 follower effects.
  • All altered follower effects are kept in line with the philosophy of the follower as much as possible.
  • All existing follower effects must be kept but can be adjusted, i.e. from a character buff to an army buff.
  • All of the effect values use pre-determined numbers from the Baseline values in my sheet, for followers they are halved compared to the Traits values.

All of the data is kept in a spreadsheet so that I may stay sane during editing or referencing.


Non-random followers include:
  • Legendary Lord followers
  • Tomb King Herald followers
  • Vampire Coast tech tree followers
  • Beastmaster ritual follower
  • Malus special followers, some of these were very powerful and will appear nerfed
  • Lizardmen ritual followers
  • Other strange followers, like the Cucumber for Skaven


As for compatibility I recommend using Kadrin's Mod Manager instead of the CA launcher to see if there are any conflicts. I don't use big overhauls so unfortunately I can't tell you if this is compatible with X or Y. I know that it does conflict with the mod "Replenishment Followers for the Old World".

Please report any missing, non-functioning follower effects, other problems or balance concerns! :)

Having all followers be more or less equally valuable seems balanced but it actually makes for a pretty powerful situation since every follower you find has a significant impact on your faction's abilities.

I am wondering how well the AI is able to use followers.

Also can you tell me whether you ensured that all followers now accurately display their scope in brackets like (Lord's army)? Did you ensure that followers carrying Lord's army cannot be equipped by heroes and vice versa? Unfortunately the game is littered with these things and fails to specify scope in a huge amount of cases. For example the trait Strategist carried by a hero has no effect when inside an army - but this is not stated.

Reduced the bonus to Ambush Attacks from 8% to 6%. Sheet has been updated.

Thanks dude! Small update now to balance some stuff that was getting a bit overpowered with the stacking of "plus to melee damage" followers. More details in the Change Notes. The sheet has also been updated.

Awesome stuff man, whipping out another banger of a mod. It didn't even cross my mind that the followers could use the same treatment you gave those lord / hero traits, but now it seems so obvious lol
