The Bubonic Court of Nurglitch

The Skaven of Clan Pestilens bear corruption and disease as a sign of their dedication to all that is foul. They have risen from the nameless band that penetrated the jungles of Lustria, the majority of its members succumbing to the tropical disease running rampant through the Lizardmens' realm, until the last remaining Skaven sealed their pact with a new god. They embraced their own new plagues and maladies as gifts, sicknesses so vile that they were able to shrug off the jungle-born plagues with ease.

Led by Arch Plague Lord Nurglitch, head of Clan Pestilens, the Bubonic Court is a specialist army released in the Lustria campaign book (the same one that gave us the Red Crested Skink DLC). Focused around Nurglitch, it relies even more heavily than the normal Clan Pestilens faction on disease and frenzy, and utilizes a special Lore of Plague that incorporates Death Frenzy as a spell.


The Great Horned Rat breathes pestilence through Arch Plague Lord Nurglitch, infecting the very world beneath his fetid feet, and has commanded his most outstanding servant to unify Clan Pestilens and sweep forth through Lustria, bringing the glory of the Skaven plagues to all who can understand. Those who cannot shall be swept aside. Astride a gigantic mutant rat named Pox, who has been with Nurglitch since his paws first alit in Lustria, the Arch Plague Lord recalls Skrolk, and then sets forth into the jungle to do the Horned Rat's bidding. Units:

• Plague Pontifex: High priests of Clan Pestilens, these disease-addled souls ride into battle atop towering cauldrons full of a thousand poxes, spreading frenzy and pollution to all who approach. Replaces Grey Seer.
  
  
• Plague Lord: The generals of the Bubonic Court, years of martial training and resistance to disease have made them able to bear the greatest plague censers that Clan Pestilens has ever created. Replaces Skaven Warlord.
  
  
• Festering Chantor: Having taken the first step on the route to the glory that is a Plague Pontifex, a Festering Chantor is the least of the priesthood of Clan Pestilens, but can cast the spells most native to the clan's lore.
  
  
• Stinking Thing: Warriors gone down the path of leadership, Stinking Things have not yet been deemed worthy of the glory that is a plague censer. One day, they aspire to such greatness. Replaces Skaven Chieftain.
  
  
• Rotten Rodents: Rotten rodents are plague monks in waiting, but only the strongest will survive to attain their new rank. Those more senior in the ways of Clan Pestilens have acquired the dual weapons of lesser Plague Monks. Replaces Clanrats and Clanrats Spears (shielded and non).
  
  
• Pusbags: The life of a Pusbag is short and unpleasant (much like the Pusbags themselves) but the Plague Monks have to test their maladies on someone! Some wield the broken clubs of the slaves, some are granted flails so that they might hurl themselves upon the foes, and some fight from afar with slings. Replaces Skavenslaves (all).
  
  
• Frothing Wolf Rats: Upon its arrival in Lustria, the clan that became Pestilens was accompanied by a small contigent from Clan Moulder. The Packmasters have since died of jungle fever, but their charges have become something altogether more unpleasant. Comes in both poison and non variety. Replaces Wolf Rats (all).
  
  
• Mad Rat Ogres: Their Packmaster long gone, these beasts have reverted to their most basic and furious instincts, grown larger and more noxious from the poisonous environment of their birthing. Replaces Rat Ogres.
  
  
• Rat Spawn: The path to glory is perilous indeed, and one fate awaiting those who falter is transformation into something too terrible to contemplate, becoming toxic creations thinking only of slaughter. Replaces Mutant Rat Ogres and Brood Horrors.

The Bubonic Court of Nurglitch has access to all stock Skaven units except those replaced above. It only has access to the custom RoRs, in addition to Blightskab’s Plaguepack. It has access only to the custom lords, and to the Plague Priest and Packmaster heroes in addition to what's listed here.

Victory Conditions: Conquer all of Lustria or slay every Lizard out there - the choice is yours.

Special Mechanics:

• Summon the Plague Lords: Special technologies allow the recruitment of six of the seven Grand Plague Lords of the Bubonic Court (Lord Skrolk is the seventh, and he's busy running the rest of Clan Pestilens).
  
  
• Despoiling Raid: The Bubonic Court is an expert in the use of plagues, and can spawn them simply by raiding territory.
  
  
• Unite the Clan: Nurglitch is given a dilemma to recall Clan Pestilens and Skrolk, or continue to let them venture forth on their own.
  
  
• Reinforce the Brotherhood: The Bubonic Court starts with diplomatic relations to the Pestilent Brotherhood (Clans Fester and Septik), as well as missions that allow confederation of those clans.
  
  
• Undermine the Lizards: A plague-ridden undercity lies beneath Itza, ready to infect the cold-blooded vermin up above.
  
  
• Pestilent Throne of Arch Plague Lord Nurglitch: When constructed, this vast befouled palace begins to spread corruption across the world, spawning a plague that never ends.

Known Mod Conflicts:
This is a startpos mod. Also, please do not use with my Grand Plague Lords/Heroes of Clan Pestilens mod - content is not compatible between the two.
