Description
Lets you customize the starting items for each character (except modded characters) by using Chifilly's Mod Config Menu.

You can set 3 items and 1 trinket per character, the mod doesn't deal with pickups like coins or cards and doesn't affect 'hidden' items like Lilith's incubus, Lost's Holy Mantle or Azazel's brimstone.

You can also use the config menu to set up to 3 items that EVERY character should start with on top of their specific items.

This mod doesn't apply to challenges.

This mod supports Golden Trinkets.

This mod doesn't support pocketed items, use my Custom Pocketed Item mod if you want to do that. Just make sure that you don't put the same custom active item on both mods, or things will get messy.

This mod supports Repentance co-op. All code related to making co-op work was taken directly from Moth's Pocketed Actives Mod

This mod was based heavily on NatoPotato's Starting Items Mod. I don't know much about coding in general and mostly altered his code to make it fits my needs (which means the code itself is messy), and the final result is clunky, but functional. The main difference between my version and his (Repentance support aside), is that this mod just adds the items/trinkets to the characters without removing their starting items.

There are some issues with this mod that I'm already aware of and some things you might not necessarily like. Consider checking the "Known Issues" discussion before posting a comment about it... Chances are, if there is something weird happening, it was probably a clunky workaround I found in order to make the mod work.

It didn't work for me until I subscribed to both this version and natopotato's original mod.
Seems to work fine for me so far.

i just want too start with friendly ball lol i cant get this mod too work and nobody has made a start with friendly ball mod can someone help me

This mod is kinda buggy. Like when I try to find one item and go to it, all the effects from the items that i scroll over happen at the same time. And when I exit out of the menu There's a lot on the screen and it crashes because of all of the items happening at the same time

Sorry about that, I *think* I've identified the problem... most likely it's No More Breakfasting!, which hasn't been updated in a while and apparently has been rerolling other items too. I also run Crap B Gone (quality 2), so I guess I'll just go ahead and disable both of them while I'm at it. Thanks again and appreciate the quick response.

@Fuligin I tried testing those issues really quickly and was unable to replicate any of them.

About the issue of a new Spindown Dice appearing somehow... Well, my best guess is that this was a conflict with a different mod.

As for the issue of the Void on Angel Room... Bear in mind that the game still counts Downpour/Dross I as Floor 1, so if you somehow got an Angel Room in that floor, then this might be the issue... Otherwise, I'd also guess it's a mod conflict issue.

No clue about the issues with Ascent, so I also assume it's a mod conflict issue.

Sorry for not being able to help any more than that, but I really have no clue about what could have caused the issues.

Really weird interaction with Spindown Dice as a starting item (on Eden, but doubt this is character-specific) where it kept on spawning the spindown item and a copy of Spindown Dice with full charge and I ended up filling a whole room full of items because it would spawn the next item instead of changing it on the pedestal. It also seems to force Spindown Dice as an active even on floors that aren't the 1st because I would spindown to Void in an Angel Room but be unable to pick it up.

During the Ascent sequence Spindown Dice also gets removed from your inventory onto a pedestal each time you activate it. I didn't have Butter fwiw, and it wasn't spawned from a spindown attempt--ID was too low for that.

@Metal-Overlord Yeah, I think I didn't add anything that allowed you to enable/disable custom items for all characters in one go.

I think you can just disable/enable the mod if you want to do that though. Not as convenient as the way that Natopotato did it, but it should work.

It probably wouldn't be too hard to add this function in all honesty, but I kept on promising other people to do things to my other mods and have yet to do it because I haven't touched Isaac in over a month, so like... Well, don't expect any changes for the foreseeable future.

Am i wrong or there is no option to abilitate customs tarting items for all characters with a single option?
To do that i have to set custom starting items on for every single character every time i want to enable or disable this mod, and for more than 20 character it's a bit tedious to do every time.
The AB+ version had a general on/off flag to enable/disable all characters all at once.
