A2021 No Weave Cloverleaf Interchange

In 1 collection by MaxFX
CS System Interchanges (modded)
31 items
Description
Inspired by an interchange design sent to me by my good friend TwoCflyer: This is a No Weave Cloverleaf Interchange. It's a 'free-flow system interchange', connecting two highways with each other. Unlike a regular Cloverleaf, there's no weaving of traffic on this version. However, this version is a bit more expensive than the regular one.

If you prefer a regular Cloverleaf, follow this Link

This interchange is made useing NCR and IMT. What you see in the screenshots is what you get after placing it, including the markings on the junctions. The interchange can be placed without the 'Intersection Marking Tool' mod. But without it the markings on the junctions will not be visible.

- Cost: 63.350,-
- Maintenance: 858,-
- Size: 116x116
- Max. height: 4.5m
- Min. height: -4.5m
- Nodecount: 76
- Lane mathematics are applied for a good traffic flow.
- Lane connections have been applied.
- No clipping lightposts/streetlights (lights going through roads situated above them)

- As always; flatten the entire area the blueprint/template covers.
- Smooth out the terrain after placing.
- To fully enjoy this interchange you need to subscribe to a couple of mods. These mods do not affect your games performance. They only add extra very handy tools to your game.

Because '3-lane highways' are the most commonly used highway type on maps, I've created this interchange to be connected (the highway ends on the interchange) to these 3-lane highways. The 4th lane on the 4-lane highways are used as exit and entry lanes.

Enjoy!

Want to know how 'Lane mathemetics' work and how to use the functions of TM:PE? I recommend watching some of Biffa's traffic fixing video's on Youtube

Any comments, suggestions and/or feedback is much appreciated! And if you like this collection so much that you think others should see it as well, then please rate it!

on this one you can turn left or right, or you can go straight ahead, but you can not go back the way you came.

That is a bright idea. I will try it out. Thank you.

@Shane_UK10: Not sure, but I believe you can reverse/inverse the IMT markings as well. With the mod activated, select a junction with markings. In the top-right of the IMT window you'll see a button called 'Copy Markings'. Press it, and then select a similar junction. Now press the 'Paste Markings' button. You'll see a couple of buttons appear above the selected junction. One of which is called 'Inverse Order'. Use these buttons to get the markings in the right order and apply.

I wish these came in right hand drive variants. The junctions work but I have to redo all the markings and TM:PE settings.

how do you get these black roads?

@Kaivian: Thanks for the feedback!! I realise they're big (and static). I'm glad you've found a way to use them anyway! I'll keep your comment in mind!

I love your intersections. The icons are great, they're very good looking, and they work well.

But I almost never use them. I must have placed 100 intersections since I started playing, beating various scenarios, making huge cities (81 tiles), etc.

But I just can't fit your intersections anywhere. They are too freaking big, lol.

One thing I've done is gone and chopped off the arms on some I really want to use, and save them separately. It screws up the markings, but it lets me actually fit them in. It also lets me curve the highways more, or fit them in cramped places (like near some mountains, where I'm putting a tunnel through them).

Anyways, it's just something for you to consider. They are great, and while I mostly can't use them as is, I have squeezed in a few. But mostly, I use a simple "squeezed" one I made based off one of your designs.
