"Welcome to 14 Days of SFM!

I've recently picked up SFM in the last week or so and wanted to see how good I can get in 14 days.

So to track my progress I'm going to be posting to the steam community and compile all the days into a video at the end.

Let me know your thoughts and (constructive) criticisms!

Wow, this was a long day, but I'd be lying if I wasn't incredibly happy with the outcome. Today's SFM was exclusively inspired by the scout cosmetic featured here.

Today I wanted to focus on scene building. I severely underestimated how much work it actually was to build a scene from scratch. The first idea I had I bit off WAY MORE than I could chew. The pose was the same from the beginning but I went for an idea that was way too complicated and at my skill level, would probably take me two days. Anyway I eventually thought of putting him on a rooftop and then it went from there. The angle that I chose made my life a bit easier when it comes to scene building, but as a newbie, I think it was a great start.

I didn't know a whole lot about scene building as a whole and I learnt a lot from watching youtube videos. The one linked below in particular. If you couldn't tell I took a lot of inspiration from it.

Overall I'm so happy with how it all came out, the pose, the lighting and all that I learnt about scenebuilding. I'm still shocked that I'm finding SFM to be as fun as it is. I've set the bar pretty high with this one. See you guys tomorrow with something new!
