Description
Works with Reversible Tram AI:
Headlights, rear lights and destination boards automatically adjust when tram is reversed using the Reversible Tram AI mod (optional).

The E2-class is the newest tram operated by Yarra Trams across Melbourne's tram network. Based on the Bombardier Flexity Swift design, 50 E2-class trams were built between 2017 and 2021 at the Bombardier (now Alstom) Dandenong factory. This variant succeeded the E1-class, upgrading numerous features of the E1 design to improve passenger safety.

The mods listed under Required Items are optional, but are highly recommended and enable the following features:
  • Headlights and rear lights
  • Destination board and route number
  • 'CAUTION' display when stopped at a tram stop
  • E-class gong sound when departing a tram stop
  • Arrival/departure E-class motor sounds
  • Flange grinding sound around curves

@akademia.ingles the front cab design is different, otherwise the E1 and E2 are almost identical.

For the tram road, it's this one with additional IMT markings.

@spicymeatballsub One can always choose not to use a feature that is presented. The problem is when you need to use the feature and it's lacking.

I respect that these assets were based on Melbourne versions but these trams are sold all over the world. Yet these are couple of few available here on workshop, which we appreciate. I also assume these weren't publicly posted here, only for Austrialians to use =D

So; even if there weren't a generic/plain version for these, at least the line coloring allows the player to "customize" it in a certain degree. The author informed that they're planning to release such versions which I'm glad hear and excited about, because it means many more people would be able to benefit from these assets the way they like and need.

In any case, I'm upvoting these beautifully modelled and detailed versions as well.

@Zekiarsu Thank you so much for your response. Looking forward for those versions as well.
They're also used in İstanbul and I'm trying to replicate my city as much and far as I can.

i honestly prefer it with no line colour, however i am from melbourne so a bit bias.

@Erke the real-life version of this tram isn't line coloured. As this model is supposed to be a close approximation of the real thing, I chose not to incorporate line colour.

I've been asked several times about releasing generic versions of these trams. I'm hoping to do that eventually, but at the moment I don't have much time for it.

Hello,
I was looking for "Bombardier Flexity Swift" with "Reversible Tram AI" support.
I believe this and "E1-cass" are the closest I can get. So thank you for these.

Although I can't help but wonder why don't these support line colours? You created these beautifully detailed models with multiple mod supports and chose not to support line colours?

I'm nowhere eligable for modding but I believe line colouring is quite easy by creating an additional color map and I believe you can even use the livery as line colouring with different shades of white?

I can only assume that it was an artistic choice on your end to leave custom coloring out, for Melbourne trademark etc...

So I was wondering, if there are any plain versions of these, in the workshop that I may have missed, which do support line colouring? By plain I mean without the Melbourne logo and perhaps without the livery? Of course with the support of RTAI...
