Insulated Power Armor

Description
Adds insulated armor to the game. No more deciding between a parka and marine armor on cold biomes!

Technical Info:

- Unlocks by researching the vanilla researches, plus additional light research on RimWorld 1.4+
- Does NOT overwrite/delete vanilla armor. Feel free to use them to save on cost if you don't need the extra weather insulation
- Mod is XML only and overwrites nothing. Contains no XPath operations. This is an extremely compatible mod.
- Can safely be added to an existing game.
- Before removing this mod from an existing game, please make sure that you unequipped and destroyed all armor from this mod including the ones your colonists are currently wearing.
- Translation ready.
- Does not require RimWorld Royalty, but if you use it, it will add insulated Royalty DLC variant armors for use.
- Does not require RimWorld Biotech, but if you use it, it will add insulated Biotech DLC mechanitor armor for use.
- Designed and balanced for RimWorld 1.4 and higher, but should work in older versions.

New leather armor:

- Leathery skullcap, craftable at a crafting spot or tailoring bench
- Leathery armor, craftable at a tailoring bench

New plate armors (craft at a Forge):

- Insulated steel, plasteel, and uranium plate armor, with your choice of insulating fabric.

New flak armors (craft at a Machining Table):

- Insulated flak jacket and pants, with your choice of insulating fabric.

New power armors (craft at a Fabrication Bench):

- All-weather, cold-weather, and hot-weather recon armor, marine armor, and cataphract armor (with prestige, locust, phoenix, and grenadier variants if using Royalty)
- Insulating recon, marine, and cataphract helmet (with prestige and locust variants for Royalty)
- Insulating marine armor and helmet (with prestige and phoenix variants for Royalty)
- Insulating cataphract armor and helmet with prestige and grenadier variants, if using Royalty.
- Insulating mech commander helmet, mechlord helmet, and mechlord armor

* How does it work?

New recipes are added to the forge, machining, and fabrication bench when you unlock their appropriate research. In addition to the vanilla materials, you also provide your fabric of choice for insulation. When crafting is completed, you will craft an insulated version of the armor instead of the vanilla version.

Insulated armor provides a substantial boost to standard heat and cold insulation from their vanilla counterparts, enough to make even recon armor a viable option on sea ice. The amount of heat and cold insulation is scaled with the fabric or leather used; muffalo wool will provide a very large boost to cold insulation, while devilstrand will be better suited for heat insulation.

Power armor can be further customized for use in all kinds of environments. Tailor them to your needs, or stick with vanilla armor if it suits you.

Be aware, insulation does add slightly to armor weight; after all, fabric isn't weightless. Insulated armor also takes a little bit longer to craft than standard vanilla counterparts.

Mod Compatibility:

This mod makes no modifications to the base game whatsoever. It only adds new recipes. Therefore, mod should work with almost every mod out there, as long as they don't substantially modify the base recipes for power armor. I make no promises on whether this mod is well balanced or not versus other mods.

Other mods that add new fabric and leathers for crafting should be compatible.

This mod also works well with Save Our Ship 2. Insulated power armor is capable of withstanding the cold, harsh vacuum of space, if crafted by a skilled crafter using proper insulating material. To enable EVA capability, load this mod after SoS2 in your mod load order.

I am getting constant errors about your Apparel not having any Apparel Layer Defs.

See here: Config error in InsPAMod_Apparel_HotLocustArmor: InsPAMod_Apparel_HotLocustArmor apparel has no layers . That also applies to Cold Locust Armor, all of the Reconnaisance Armor, and all of the Prestige Armor.

This causes Pawns to be unable to wear it to protect their bodies, and they will constantly put on multiple instances of it.

Doesn't work very Well with CE.
The Non-Power Armors are not working right and give the protection of cloth, regardless of material you make the insulation out of.

The power armors are inferior to CE power armor but still power armor.

Requesting advanced compatibility for VFE_Ancients. What the mod does is adding a mending bench allowing you to repair equipment. However, equipment from this mod gets repaired with the items used to insulate them, rather than the main item, which makes it a bit OP.

Example : Marine Armor > Plasteel
Cloth insulated Marine armor > cloth.

Hi, right now on 1.4 it have a bug that makes some/most items not display the stats in this detail window when you click
I see spam of ArgumentOutOfRangeException in the log, but can't say anything more, this is the only clothing mod I use
