This tiny guide explores the "Standard" work areas of Fire Alpaca. Note: Under construction, since I don't use all of the tools, I am still trying to figure out how they work or worst, I dunno how to describe some of the tools, even though I use them frequently.

Prologue - Welcome To Your Workbench

So, you've bought Fire Alpaca SE, this will show you the tools and features that you'll mostly use.

Note: There's also a free to download version on the official site. But this tour also works for it.

Left Hand Side

Pen

This is the Pen that does the doodling, it can be resized and be a different type via brushes.

Pen - The Line Functions

Snap

The Snap feature basically helps with drawing lines, shapes and angles in a strict grid-like way. This is helpful for making comics. It's mostly toggled on Off, so, ya can have free range and leeway.

This is where you'll throw a brush away, like crafting one that doesn't meet your expectations.

Brush Mechanics

Color Swatches

The two tiny squares that's besides the huge color canvas (which actually is a Color Wheel) is to switch between colors.

This showcases your collection of the types of pens, brushes, markers, and such that ya already have.

Move Tool

The Move Tool enables you to move stuff around, like some lines or a portion of color shape somewhere in the canvas.

Fill Tool

Bucket Tool

The aptly named Bucket Tool pour a chosen color into a certain area.

Gradient Tool

Lasso Tool

The Lasso is a very customizible version of the Select tool, it will give you the means to create any shape that can be crop that's outside the regular select Square/Rectangle, Ellipse and Polygon.

Magic Wand

Using the Magic Wand will use create a border barrier of sorts in the specific area of your choosing, this will make it easier to erase, doodling, pouring paint, etc. within that area.

Text

The Text tool is used to add words to your doodle.

Tip: If you want to use Transform on your text, you need to right-click on the text's cog wheel and click on the Convert Text Layer to Image Layer.

The Eyedropper is a tool to grab a certain color and change the color swatch to that particular color.

Hand Tool

Choosing the Hand will enable ya to move the canvas around.

Upper Left

Undo/Redo

These buttons are to undo whatever mistakes that ya made or to redo when you realize that particular drawing action isn't a mistake.

New - This is to begin a new project.

New Via Clipboard -

Open - This opens the file where all your FA projects are stored.

Open Recent File - The ORF shows the most recent projects.

Open As A New Layer -

Open The Auto Backup Folder - This button will open the Autosave_Backup, this will open up a special folder where FE saves projects every certain hours (or you manually saving) for emergency purposes. This is handy just in case, your current work goes haywire and can't work.

Save - This button is to save whatever projects that's currently worked on.

Save As - This is to save the project and give it a name.

Export - This is technically to export works.

Export As Animated Gif - If the project this will ensure that the work comes out as a gif or small animation.

Print - This is to use your handy dandy printer.

Close - This is to exit Fire Alpaca

Undo - This is to undo mistakes.

Redo - This is to redo the mistake of unintentionally erasing

Cut - The cut is mainly to slice a portion of your piece.

Copy (Layer) -

Copy (Merged) -

Paste - Mainly for pasting this. I press the PrtScrn/SysRq keyboard button to take a picture of the whole computer screen and paste screenshot to the FS SE canvas.

Crop - This will delete any portion that's not within the Lasso Tool or Select Tool. (Tip: If ya want to get rid of the stuff within, go to Select and click on Inverse.)

These are primarily to rotate the canvas around.

Canvas Size - This will enable you to change and readjust the szie of the canvas.
