Just a really simple quick guide to help those who are trying to use xbox controllers for this game and who would rather not pull out their hair in doing so.

So you Just Bought This Game and The Inputs are Janky

Trust me. I was right there with you. In fact, I couldn't even play the game because the inputs were so bad. My B button became my A button, I had to hold down both the joysticks to sprint, I couldn't even navigate the menus without wanting to tear my hair out. Don't worry, I'm here to help ease the pain in just a single easy step!

For reference I just use a wireless XBOX One controller but for some reason the game thought I was using a Playstation controller. The fix is simple.

> Right click Senran Kagura
> Select PROPERTIES
> Go to Controller
> ENABLE Steam Input

And that's it. From there the game should be fixed enough for you to at least set the proper inputs that you like in the main menu. Your A button will become your A button again. Rejoice in the top heavy ninja girls!!

Don't worry, it is fixed : just needed to restart my computer after turning steam input on but steam input per game forced off.

Steam detect the controller and every game does so but not this game. Btw, I've tried wireless xbox 360, one S, one elite V1 and serie as well as wired xbox one S, xbox one elite and xbox serie and ps4 : nothing.

What sort of controller are you using, is it telling you that a controller is detected? Did you change anything since the last 5 months since you've played? This game's really bad at auto-detecting controllers

I have a similar problem. I did not have launched the game since many months and now that I launch it, it refuses to detect controllers (other games detect it perfectly tho). Any idea that may help me ?

Followed this guide immediately after buying the game, so I don't know how it would've controlled normally, but this definitely seems to work, thank you for preventing potential headaches! :)
