DegreeRadar / Sonar [oClock Variant]

Description

//-----------------------------------------------------
oClockRadar [Original]
oClockRadar [Alt Appearance]
DegreeRadar
//-----------------------------------------------------

As requested, the Compass Degree & Cardinal version, bundled together as one.

AKA: Degree & Cardinal positions on the Radar/Sonar terminal for more effective call outs. Does exactly what it says on the tin.

Default sonar lines follow a different degree increment that matches the oClock layout.
In this version increment per line is 7.5°.

Now get out there and use proper submarine terminology!

//-----------------------------------------------------

P.S. I know the filled black boxes are kind of ugly, I might go back and fix them later.

P.S.S. Sail Side & Keel Side aren't actual terms, but rather an approximate best fit (The Sail is the bit that sticks off the top of subs, the Keel being the lowest structural component of any sea faring vessel). Aloft and Below were considered, but those reference space inside the vessel, rather than outside.

P.S.S.S. The cardinals and degrees are familiar abstractions imposed on a fictional 2d space. Considering the affordances of the game space, these are best fit, despite being entirely nonsensical. In this radar, 0±360 is NORTH because we're following COMPASS degrees instead of GEOMETRIC degrees (in which case 0±360 would be on the RIGHT, where 90° currently is)

"Bow/Aft" doesn't sound right; one is a part of the ship, the other is a direction. I would've gone for "Fore/Aft" instead, both of which are directions, or maybe "Bow/Stern", both of which are parts of the ship, but not "Bow/Aft".

Relatedly, "Sail Side/Keel Side" doesn't make much sense for submarines that don't have sails, like the Camel, or ones that have sails on the underside like JAD War Machine's Vindicator. I'd have gone for simply "Above/Below" instead.

It appears this is not compatible with v19. Specifically, we cant toggle autopilot \ manual control on or off. Probably a fairly simply thing to fix, but not usable in 19.

I am in trouble. I really love the colourful design you made for this one. But it is more practical for my crew I am playing with to use your clock version https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2651492771 . Is there a chance you might offer a third design...? I am feeling sorry to ask...

In my imagination the best would be if the clock numbers have that red colour like with this one, without the N,S,E,W but instead increased sized of the cool ship terms. And if there were three or four additional rings inside which can be used to help with estimating how close things are (like that makes you able to tell at zoom level X, enemy at ring 1 means 20m away e.g.), it would be perfect...

I really just want to praise you, but then I also think if anyone can make something with this feedback then its you... Keep up the good work! I mean, seriously: such a simple "mod" but so helpful in so many ways! And it looks so much cooler than the vanilla version.
