Half-Life: Alyx - Snark

描述
This Snark is an NPC model of the Half-Life: Alyx game released in 2020.

It took months to finish this model. I even thought for a moment that I couldn't do it. I think it took 3-4 months, especially to add Particle Effect to the model. Since this is the first model I made for the Source Engine, it's natural for me to have a hard time. In fact, if you see a defect in my model when you examine my model, this is a perfectly normal thing. I just found out that adding Particle Effect is actually pretty easy. But I'm new to Source Engine modeling.

UPDATES:

+ Materials fixed and Fake PBR Effect added!
+ Animations fixed!
+ JiggleBones added!

This model has a mix of Half-Life Alyx and Black Mesa animations. All Snark animations are from Half-Life: Alyx. Hand animations are from Black Mesa. If I had to use a simpler explanation:

"Black Mesa Animations + Half-Life: Alyx Animations = My Own Animations"
"All animations in the World model belong to Half-Life: Alyx."

In the view model, the particle effect does not occur in the front of the Snark's eye. I don't know why, but we tried everything for it. I think this is due to Black Mesa codes. For their help with Snark:

To Fresh Silence for the making particle effect of the model and helping with other issues of the model,
To TR-Emir for sending me the source files of Snark and helping with other issues of the model,
To X-Ray for helping with the sounds,
To LIL-PIF for re-making the Draw Admire animation and helping me with the animation,

To Red Menace for helping materials on the Fake PBR Effect,

Like other people, my game crashes from this as well. Seems to only be when shooting at the Snarks for me.

Really cool mod and it is very well crafted and fits into the game well enough - but as a couple other people have pointed out and I can verify too, the game does crash when the snarks either attack enemies or you shoot at them in rapid succession. I hope this mod does get an update because it's really great but just warning other people beforehand that it is not 100% stable.
