Prologue

This is the first of the "X, Just X" are just guides to very "small" things, like small software, art programs and maybe game functions.

Note: I am too broke to afford Leap Motion, so, I have no idea how it's suppose to work, how to troubleshoot it and to sync things. Go bug Plus Plus on Twitter, some VTuber that does tutorials (like Syafire or VTuber Sempai) or r/Virtual Youtubers for that. So, please I encourage ya to experiment with the body motion tracker if you have one...Or just wait for several years later, to save up to get a LM.

Left Side

The following chapters will explore the left side column.

Expressions

This menu will help set your avatar's facial features to match your keyboard strokes for gaming purposes.

Multiple Effects Editing Mode

Open Shortcuts

Clicking on the Effect Open Shortcut Mode will take you to Shortcut 1, where you can set and key bind the effects, just like the expressions.

Avatar Selection

After exporting your VRoid model, you can find it here

Click on the one that you want to use and he/she will appear on the Stage.

Camera Angles

The Camera Angles takes what I call a "Camera Bookmark", when clicking the Add Current Angle To The List it will save the Avatar's custom made camera angle that you created. That way that you can retrieve it later on, instead of attempting to recreate that angle.

Background

This is the Standard is the current background that Plus Plus sets up and the main menu for the Stage Background Settings. We're here for the other options, Custom Color and Image.

Background - Custom Color

Transparent Background

The Transparent Background acts like the Blue and Green screens above, but enacting this will result with your model being in front of the computer desk top, gameplay stream/gameplay footage. This mode is good for those that love to have their VRoid avatar decked out with blues and greens or a green alien with ceremonial blue robes.

Background Settings Color - Image

Add Image

Clicking the Add Image icon will bring out a C:/ folder for you to pick choose an picture to replace the default background or the previous image.

Tip: The image dimensions is suppose to be in x .jpeg (or .png).

Placing Objects

Camera

This will save a screenshot of your avatar and the stage background.

Film Camera

This is for stopping and resuming recording.

Right Side

Now here's the right side column and its buttons.

Toggling The Tracking

This menu should pop out, this is where you must press all three buttons to start the face capturing magic.

Press all the Start buttons.

Turning on Face Tracking will have 3tene match your facial, like blinking.

Turning this on with sync your lips' movements.

Broke, the key word is that I am broke. So, no Leap Motion.

Since I am not using Leap Motion, Body Operation only matches my face's movements, like moving my head left to right.

Tip: If the capturing glitches, just switch off all three buttons and turn them on again.

Avatar Adjustments

These settings is where you can your fix and adjust your avatar, like it's camera, tracking, shadows, and lighting. It's the serious parts concerning your avatar.

Though these need you to set up keyboard or controller key binds to give your avatar some expressions for the big stuff.

Clicking on the Light Source on the Settings menu,

will bring up a menu of which will allow you the options of changing the light's direction that's hitting your VRoid avatar. Changing the directions and the types of light are all up to you.

These are the Light Source's default settings.

Bonus - Da Reset Button

Be careful that ya don't click on this button whatever ya do, since if you do, it will revert everything to the default settings. Including Japanese!

How To Survive An Accidental Clicking

So, ya accidentally click the Reset button.

Go to the left column, click on the "Cog"

The button that I circled is Eigo which means "English."

Reset Buttons - Web Cam Positions

This will reset your web cam's position and alignment.

Switching Camera Positions

Showing Face Tracking

This will show how your webcam and 3tene tracks your face.

Tip: I mainly use this to adjust my webcam, whether it means toggling the 3tene's camera setting or actually moving the camera around.

Reset Buttons - Web Camera

This icon will reset everything involving your webcam and 3tene.

Reset Buttons - Leap Motion

This will set the Leap Motion back to the default 3tene settings.

Tip: Reminder, make sure that Leap Motion is plug into your computer.

I have a theory that this will notified when you get donations and when raids happen.

Kinda Off Topic Tips

OBS

To use 3tene and OBS, you need to open up 3tene, go to the color background and select either Green, Blue, or Transparent Background screen to use as your green screen.

Then open up OBS, make sure that everything is set up, like the recording settings, game capturing, audio settings, streaming and the mic.

The 3tene's overlay should be present.

At this point, I adjust the avatar, like clicking on the red squares at the corners to resize it and moving it to the correct area.
