HMLS Fortitude

Here's the fourth post of the third round of Avem Empire airships! I'll be doubling my fleet size in this update, so make sure to check out all the other designs.

Fortitude is an older-style design, featuring a lot of simple casemates and deck guns scattered around her hull rather than a unified central battery. She has 11x single casemates, 7x 94mm guns, a tiny bit of AA, and six CRAM cannons mounted ventrally along the centerline. She also has single aerial torpedo tubes located amidships in the superstructure. Her main armament is quite weak compared to msot of my other airships, but she's fairly cheap so I'm alright with it, and the CRAMs help to make up for the deficiencies of the casemates.

Like the rest of the fleet, Fortitude has a cruising speed of 40m/s and a max speed in excess of 50m/s.

I hope you enjoy playing with her! Historically, Fortitude would have been classified as and is in fact based on an armored or protected cruiser, which were turn of the century designs and well outdated compared to WW2 era ships liek those that inspired some of my other designs. Let me know what you think of the older design style. I've got a few older-style designs I've got ideas for, and some modern ones too. Also keep in mind that the colors and reflections and overall appearance of my airships will vary significantly based on your graphics settings, so feel free to mess with your settings and the paint colors until you get them to look how you like.
