There are no immortal monsters in either game sadly, not even the Ghosts.
Don't worry about making mistakes, Monster Rancher is a super casual friendly game honestly and raising various monsters is most of the fun.
I did the training option right away and after the 4 weeks my monster was very tired. So the training option means you loose a lot of money, your monster looses lifespan, it takes an entire month away and it barely makes a difference to your monsters stats?
I never played monster rancher before and was a bit confused about this "lifespan" mechanic and now I fear I did everything wrong, just by trying out the game. (BTW I'm talking about Monster Rancher 1)
