Introduction
Hello! Welcome, Gliders.

First off, this isn't an easy climb, you'll need to have maxed-out stamina for the main route. There is a low-stamina route now, you'll need at least three stamina upgrades to make that climb. The low-stamina route is marked with an L below, 1L 2L and so forth.

Steve33RUS has an advanced-climbing guide that could definitely be combined with these tips, but it is not necessary. His techniques plus my routing would let you do it without max stamina, but could introduce other problems with the current patch having visibility/rendering issues with the stones. Speed on this route helps keep them visible, and his technique is slower.

I'll show screenshots of the route, then at the end I'll show the video of the whole thing start to finish.

There is one safety strategy that could diverge from the route I took for the full video, but it has problems of its own with the current patch. I talk about that in Part 5B, and show a video of the issues near the end. Once the rendering problems are taken care of I will definitely update the guide to show that better.
UPDATE: I have made a new video showing a new strategy, I've labeled it Part 5C. It's a little scary, but I find it easier than either of the other two.
UPDATE 2: Found another way, not as scary as 5C, maybe a little safer than the standard. It's labeled 5D below.
UPDATE 3: Found a much better way, it's not scary at all, it's very safe. USE THIS ONE, it's labeled 5E below.

So let's get started, shall we?
Basic Climbing Tips
All right, so you've probably tried and failed to climb the Sisters already. They are notoriously difficult to climb. I've got some tips for you, first.

First tip, stick to the corners. Sable is much less likely to lose her grip near a corner than she is in the center of a side. And when she does slip, she's more likely to have something to grab onto near a corner than in the middle.

Second tip, try to limit the number of times you need to cross a corner onto a new face. The route I've figured out for us is careful about that, but keep it in mind as a general tip.

Third tip, if the stone you're climbing on disappears, don't panic. Stop what you're doing, rotate the camera until you can see it again. In some positions in the rotation around the central stone, they can disappear for a while, but Sable's stamina doesn't drain unless you're moving, so you can just wait it out.
This tip might be irrelevant once a new patch comes out, but it's helpful on the day I'm making this guide. :)
I've mostly routed around this even before a patch fixes the issue, so this tip isn't quite as useful, but oh well. :)

The March 8 2022 patch fixed the rendering issue, so this tip is now outdated. That's good news. :)

All right, next up, the start of our route.
Route Start - up the the plateau and onto the pillar
UPDATE: There is an easier, faster way to get started on the main route. It's labeled Route part 1L below, it gets you onto the first stone much easier than this one. Feel free to use either one. :)

To the northeast of Seven Sisters Station, there's a plateau that overlooks the camp. If you take the ramp down from the camp, you'll pass under the Mask Caster tent. Continue forward from there to the plateau. Drive your bike up the hill until she stalls, then hop off and keep climbing up.

Once you're up, look back toward the camp. After you catch your breath, the next step is to jump and glide to the pillar that has/had the chum on it.

Climb up the pillar and catch your breath again, we're just getting started.
Route part 2 - from the pillar to the first stone
Okay, once you're on the pillar, SAVE. This is your safety save, if something goes wrong somewhere you can quit out and reload back here so you don't have to do the setup again.

When you first get here, if the stone is on the wrong side, you can quit and reload, the stones have a default starting position on game-load which is like ten seconds of waiting from this point.

The smoke from the camp is random, if it's blocking your view too much you can quit and reload to get another smoke layout.
You want to wait until the leading tip of the crystal stone touches the central stone, then run, jump and glide. Aim for the right side of the smoke column, the stone will pass that before you get there. Don't worry, you'll make it.

As you pass the smoke, start aiming for the corner you want to climb. There are a couple that work. In my video run, I took the middle one that doesn't have a line, it's hard to see but it's there and it works great. You can also take the corner on the left, it's easier to see but it takes longer to glide there so you WILL run into rendering/invisible stone problems right now. If you run into that, swing your camera to the right, you're fine.

Climb your chosen corner up to the top, then catch your breath. You've just reached the next waypoint.
Route part 3 - from the first stone to the second
Once you've caught your breath, look slightly to the left. That stone peeking around the central stone is your next stop, and the corner blocking it is your route there.

Jump and glide to that corner, and climb up it, without trying to go around the corner to the next face. Just climb up until you start to get a little low on stamina. I suggest leaving the right half of the first outer diamond of your stamina bar. Jump and glide off the central stone towards the rock to your left, and climb up it.

Don't worry about gliding to a corner, just get to the rock and climb up. The worst part of climbing the stones is changing faces, you'll be fine on this one.
Whew! Catch your breath and turn your camera around, this is the next waypoint.
Route part 4 - from the second stone to the third
All right. Look to the left of the central stone again, see that rock partially obscured? That's next. The technique is the same as what we just did, jump and glide to the corner of the central stone, and climb up.

Climb up to just before the central stone angles inward, then jump and glide to the next stone. There is a safety platform on the left if you are concerned about your stamina. (The stone slowly rotates towards the right, if you've made it here much later than I did the platform will be closer to the center or even the right side.) Climb up to the top, and catch your breath again. Just a little further and we'll be there.
Route part 5 - from the third stone to the fourth
All right, you've made it this far, great job! One more stop before the top. Swing your camera around towards the central stone, to the right is a higher stone with a crystal formation on it. That's next.
This one is a little harder, but I know you can do it. (I have an updated method that is the same difficulty as everything we've done up to this point, so go ahead and use it, you don't have to do this hard version. It's labeled 5E below. Probably still read this one so you get the basics, but you don't have to do this just because it was written first.)
Jump and glide to the corner of the central stone, try to aim a little left of the corner so if you bubble slide you have some space before you go around the corner. if you do slide past the corner, pull a hard left and get on it as soon as you can.

Climb up the corner, and leave yourself about half of the first stamina diamond again, then jump and glide. This might be tight depending on how badly the corner grabbing and climbing went. There IS a safety platform on the other side, opposite the crystals. If you think you need it I'll talk about it in the next section.

Climb up to the top of this stone, catch your breath. No rush. Next stop, the top.
Route part 5B - discussing the safety platform on the fourth stone
So, if you need it, or think you will need it, there is a safety platform on the fourth stone, it's on the other side from the crystals. You can wait on the third stone for the crystals to be facing towards you, the timing will work out to put the platform towards the central stone.
Here's the thing, though. With the current patch, there are rendering issues with the stones, sometimes they disappear from view. They are still THERE, but it is very hard to aim for them when you can't see them, and if you can't SEE the safety platform then it's harder to use it.
This is still doable, I'm just warning you that this is harder in the middle because of visibility, the route I used is harder at the end because of stamina issues.

Here's a shot of this stone from above so you can see where the platform is in relation to the crystals.

When the rendering bug is fixed, I will definitely recommend waiting for this setup and using the safety platform. Until it's fixed, I'm hesitant to suggest using this. I tested it, and even though I knew exactly what I was doing it was nerve-wracking.
The stone disappeared while I was gliding towards it, you should expect that too if you try this. Just keep gliding towards the last place you saw it, and when you start climbing, STOP, just wait and move your camera around until you can see what you're doing, and where the platform is. When you know where the platform is, you can make your way there, just be aware that the stone might disappear again, take it slow, there's no rush.
If you miss it entirely while gliding, you still have your safety save on the pillar, you can make your way up here to try again in just a few minutes. You've got this.
From the safety platform, make your way to the top of this stone, and we'll continue after you've caught your breath.
Route part 6 - from the fourth stone to the top
All right! You're here! We're so close, this next part is easy.
When you've caught your breath, when you're ready, jump and glide to the corner of the central stone, then climb your way to the top.
The top
You made it!
Great job, I'm proud of you!
There's a chum up here if you haven't gotten it yet, and you can take pride in accomplishing something very difficult.
If you like, you can take a seat and let the gentle movement of the stone shift you around, eventually sliding all the way back down to the ground, without any panicking or emergency bubble.
:D
The full run - video
Here's the video of me doing it in real time.
Getting onto stone 4 was close, because I slid around the corner and lost some height. The central stone angles inward at that height too, so it's really easy to slip, even when you're on the corner. On other runs I've made it to the left of the corner, and then slipped partway up the climb and still lost some height. I still made it, it's definitely doable, it's just difficult.
Oh, also, feel free to skip the big chapter from 1:45 to 3:33, it's just waiting for the stone to get in the right place, nothing exciting happens.

using the safety platform on stone 4 - video and advice
Before you consider using the safety platform on stone 4, please watch this video so you know what you're in for.
When the render bug is fixed, then I will definitely recommend taking an extra minute for the platform to rotate around. For now, I recommend just doing the climb as soon and as fast as you can to avoid stone 4 disappearing.
For now, read part 5C for an updated method.
Just use method 5E, it's safe and easy.
https://youtu.be/VtWz8Jl7KgE
Route part 5C - updated strats
This is the day after I wrote the guide, I've got a new strategy that I now recommend. It's a little scary, but it's solid.
To start, get onto the third stone as normal, and when your stamina is refilled, jump for the corner of the central stone, like the normal route.

Climb up the corner, you want to leave yourself a full outer diamond of stamina. You won't need that much, but if you try to climb higher you'll slip and lose stamina for no extra height. It's okay if you slip a little, just stop climbing when you get down to a full diamond remaining.

Now we just wait for the stone with the crystals to rotate around. Don't worry if Sable visually comes off the central stone, you'll only slip if you try to start climbing, and we're going to jump before that happens.

The stone we're jumping to is going to disappear (until the rendering bug is fixed, anyway), but try to keep an eye on it, you want to wait until the platform is pointing at Sable, then it's time to jump for it. I've found that a slightly downward angle is needed to keep the stone visible, but it does disappear for several seconds and it's hard to find it again. You have some time, don't panic.

As you glide for it, it's going to disappear again. I know. Aim for the left of the smoke column and keep going.

As soon as Sable makes contact and starts climbing, STOP MOVING, rotate your camera to the right to see where you're at, and where you need to get to.

Slowly make your way towards the platform, you want to climb up higher than it so you can drop down onto it. If you've glided into the platform, then you don't need to worry about that, just climb up carefully, try to keep it visible so you don't run off it when you crest the edge.

When you make it onto the platform, take a deep breath, the hard part is over. Catch your breath, and then climb up to the top of this stone.

This method is scary, but I think it is easier than the two other ways to get up onto stone 4.
Route part 5C - video
Here's the video of me doing this updated strat, starting from getting onto stone three, up to the top of stone four. I recommend watching this video at least to see the camera angles to find the stone after it vanishes. I suspect that the exact angle that works when I find it, does NOT work for the several seconds prior, and that's why it's so hard to find.
https://youtu.be/ifm4s35zhok
Route part 5D - new strat 2
If you're intimidated by the other ways to get onto the fourth stone, you can give this one a try. It's not as scary as 5C, you don't need to aim for an invisible stone, you just need to wait out the time that it's not visible.

Get onto stone 3 like normal, and when your stamina is refilled do the jump for the corner, like the other routes.

Climb up the corner, leaving yourself about one and a half outer diamonds of stamina. If you haven't slipped by the time you get to 5/8ths of the second diamond, definitely consider jumping and gliding to the fourth stone. Whether you slip or not, definitely jump and glide when you're down to one and a half diamonds.

Climb up as much as you can before stone 4 disappears, then stop climbing. We're going to wait out the time it's invisible, then continue when it comes back.

When you can see it again, finish the climb.

This one isn't as scary, but I still like 5C better for its safer stamina route. This is just another option, take your pick. :)
Route part 5D - video
Here's the video for this newest method. It's pretty simple. The biggest concern is slipping and not having enough stamina to recover, but most of the methods have that issue.
https://youtu.be/8pKXUnEq_q0
Route part 5E - new updated strats, highly recommended
All right, done more testing, found a new better safer route.
First off, get up to stone 3 like normal, catch your breath, then jump for the corner. If you've read the other methods, this is just like those.

Climb up the corner, leaving yourself a full outer diamond of stamina remaining. It's fine if you slip, just keep going. We are going to wait out the time that the fourth stone isn't visible, so just relax for a minute.

It is going to disappear, just hold tight. The smoke column won't be visible yet when it disappears, and the smoke will be to the right side before it shows up again.

When it first shows up, we're still going to wait. If we jump now it's going to disappear, that's what strat 5C is about. We want the platform to be approximately pointing in the direction of the smoke column, then we jump and glide for it.

You can check whether the stone is going to disappear on you by pointing your camera directly at it. That's what your camera will be doing while we're gliding, so it's good to check before we jump.
The December 13 2021 patch affected the visibility of the stones, so this one stays invisible for longer, and in a wider angle. You should also tilt your camera up and down to see where it goes invisible. You'll have to wait a little longer than I did when I recorded the video, but as long as you know to check for this, it isn't too bad.

When it stays visible in a large enough angle that you feel comfortable, jump and glide for it.

Climb up onto the platform, catch your breath, then finish the climb to the top of this stone.

MUCH easier than any of the other methods. :D
Route part 5E - video
Here's the video for this new safer method. I was very surprised that I didn't slip at all on the center stone, that never happens. On an earlier run while testing I had the stone disappear for a half second while I was gliding, but further testing showed that you can check for that before you jump.
https://youtu.be/YjB-E4bjp_U

HIGHLY recommended strat.
Route part 1L - the low stamina route - up onto the plateau and the first stone
Further testing has provided a route that works if you have at least three stamina upgrades, as well as a faster start than the initial setup. Most of this route is much slower than the normal route, only the start is faster.
I am going to go through this as a full route, so you don't need to read the main route to be able to follow along.

To the west and southwest of the Seven Sisters Camp is a pair of plateaus joined by a saddle, we're going to use that to get up. Drive your bike slightly southwest of the camp, aiming for the saddle between the plateaus. Aim for the left side of the saddle, where it turns red. It's not as steep on the left side, it's a better approach.

Drive your bike up the saddle as high as she can go, then hop off when she stalls and climb the rest of the way. You might be able to get your bike all the way up, that's fine too.

Once you get into the red part, you can walk again. Hit the jump button to stop climbing, then head to the right to get up onto the plateau west of the camp.

Once you're up on the plateau, keep going for a bit, you want to gain some height for the jump to the stones. You're looking for the lower stone with crystals on it, and you want it to be on the left side of the central stone.
UPDATE 17 March 2022: The March 8 2022 fixed the rendering problem that necessitated the 1L-SP alternate start, so go ahead and continue with this method, and skip the 1L-SP section.
UPDATE 16 December 2021: The recent patch broke something with the rendering, using this next part as-written makes the stone flicker visible/invisible at a potentially seizure-inducing rate. I have written up a safer way to get up onto the first stone from here. It's labeled 1L-SP below.

When you get up there, save your game. If the crystal stone is on the wrong side, you can quit and reload, the stones revert to a default starting position every time the game is loaded, and it's a short wait from this location. This is also your backup save in case something goes wrong, you can always come back to this point to try again.
You want the leading tip of the stone to just touch the central stone, then jump and glide for it. Keep an eye on your feet, there's a slope down at the edge of this plateau and you might start sliding. It works better if you can do a jump without sliding, so if you start sliding try to stop and then give it another try.

Aim for the center corner of the stone, that's the best place to climb up. You might slip a little, it might be close, but you can make it. If you don't make it on your first try, you can quit out and reload and try again. In my video run, I fumbled the jump and still made it, so it's definitely possible for you to make it too.

Climb up and catch your breath, this is the first stop.
I'm not sure if the newest language update changed anything, or if I just got lucky on my video run, but now a couple days later the stone is flickering rather brutally. If that happens to you, you can swing your camera to the right, it will disappear from view. You can wait out the invisible time, or just keep climbing. It looks like it's a fairly simple climb if you don't fumble the first jump.

If you have all of the stamina upgrades, you can go do the normal route from here, the rest of the low-stamina route is much slower for most of it.
Route part 1L-SP - seizure protection alternate start
The March 8 2022 patch fixed the rendering issues that caused the stone to flicker, so this entire section is unnecessary, but rather than cross out or delete the whole thing I'm just going to leave this note saying you can skip it. :)

The December 13 2021 language update patch broke something, so the low-stamina route start onto the first stone causes it to flicker dangerously. It gives me a headache, and I'm worried it could cause seizures in at-risk people. This specifically addresses that, giving a later start to eliminate that flickering.
Once you're up on the plateau near the stones, save your game like normal, if the crystal stone is on the wrong side you can quit and reload to reset it to its default position, from a loaded game it's about a two minute wait for the stone to be in the right place.
We're waiting for the crystals on the first stone to just pass the central stone, then we're jumping. As you glide, start by aiming for the lower stone. The crystal stone will be approximately there by the time we arrive.

You want to avoid the corner of the stone that's directly opposite the crystals, you want the corner to the left of that. Keep an eye on it as you glide, and start aiming for it when you get close.

Be careful, there's an angle in the center of that face that becomes more prominent as you get closer. You want to avoid that one too, your angle on that corner makes the stone flicker too.

Once you are on the correct corner, it's a fairly simple climb to the top. It's a little tight on stamina, but it's doable, and it's better than getting your brain blasted by forceful flickering. You can always quit and reload if you don't quite make it on your first try.

From here, you can continue the low-stamina route with part 2L, or the main route at Route part 3 if you have max stamina.
I hope this helps. :)
Route part 2L - from the first stone to the second
Okay, we're onto the first stone. Catch your breath, look to the left of the central stone. That stone that's partially obscured is our next stop, there's a platform on the far side of it we can use since we don't have enough stamina to get all the way up in one go. We're going to jump for the corner of the central stone, and use that to gain some height, since it has fewer angles we can slip on. We're going to wait on the center stone for the second stone to rotate around and show the platform.

Jump and glide to the corner of the center stone, then climb up the corner, nothing fancy. We want to save some stamina for getting onto the next platform, we don't have a lot to spare. I suggest leaving a quarter of an outer diamond remaining. It will take a while for the stone to rotate around, but our stamina won't drain while we aren't moving, we can just wait here.

When the platform comes around, jump and glide for it.

Climb onto the platform, catch your breath, then keep climbing up to the top of the second stone.

Congratulations, this is the next waypoint. Catch your breath, we've still got a long way to go.
Route part 3L - from the second stone to the third
All right, you may need to run forward a little to see it, but the third stone is to the left of the central stone, mostly obscured. We're going to climb up the corner of the central stone again, just like we did for this one. Ready?

Climb up the corner, and leave yourself your center stamina square. We are going to need it for this one too. It's tight, but we can make it. Just hang on, it takes a while for the stone to rotate around.

When the platform comes around, jump and glide for it.

Climb up onto the platform, catch your breath, then continue climbing up to the top of the third stone. Things get easier from here, the hardest part is over now.
Route part 4L - from the third stone to the fourth
All right! We're halfway there, great job so far. To the right of the central stone is our next stop, and we're going to climb the corner of the center stone again. This next one is a tiny bit different, but it's not any harder than what we just did. We're going to wait on the corner again for a platform to rotate around. Prior to the March 8 2022 patch we were also waiting out a rendering bug, but that's no longer an issue. When you've caught your breath, go ahead and jump for the corner of the central stone. Try to aim a little to the left of the corner, so that if you bubble slide you have some space before sliding around the corner. If you do slide around the corner, pull a hard left and just get climbing as soon as you can. This next part isn't as tight with stamina, so don't worry if it isn't perfect.

Climb up the corner of the central stone, leaving yourself half of a stamina diamond. Don't worry if you slip on the climb, you're going to have plenty to make it onto the next platform.

With the current patch, there's a rendering bug that makes the stones invisible at certain angles. This next one would be a problem if we try to go early, so we're going to wait for it to disappear and then reappear before going for it. After it disappears, we can track where it's at with the sparkles from the crystals.
The March 8 2022 patch fixed the rendering bug, so the stone won't disappear like it used to.
If you're curious what it used to be like, here's a video of me tracking the location of the invisible stone using the sparkles from the crystals as a guide. I previously suggested using the sparkles to track it while you were waiting for it to reappear, but that's no longer necessary.
https://youtu.be/h2wc8b9QV2c

When the platform rotates around, go ahead and jump for it. It isn't going to disappear, so the exact angle isn't very important, just wait until it's sorta pointed towards you, then go for it. You've got plenty of stamina to make it up onto the platform.
The image is from before the patch, you can definitely go earlier than this, I just wanted the newer screenshot to match the colors in the rest of this section.

Catch your breath again, then finish climbing up to the top of the fourth stone.

This strikethrough part and the spoilered image are the earlier version of the step where we were waiting for the platform to rotate around, feel free to skip to the next section and continue the guide.

After it shows up again while you're pointing your camera directly at it, go ahead and swing your camera side to side a little to see what angle it disappears again. Your camera is going to be pointing at it while we glide towards it, so you want to be sure it's not going to disappear on you. Also tilt your camera up and down, the December 13 2021 patch affected the angles of visibility, and just checking side to side doesn't account for your camera tilting when you start gliding. Before the patch, that didn't matter, and now it does. When you're comfortable with how visible it stays, go ahead and jump and glide for it.

Route part 5L - from the fourth stone to the fifth
All right, great job so far. Just ahead is the fifth stone, catch your breath and then jump and glide for it.

You want to aim for the center of the fifth stone, there's a corner there that's hard to see, but it's there. There isn't enough space to get up on the left, and the right side is rotating away from us. It will be fine, this one isn't nearly as tight.

Climb up to the top of the stone, and catch your breath again. We're really close now.
Route part 6L - from the fifth stone to the top
All right, now that we're on the fifth stone, the next step is to climb up this outcropping on the left, to get us some more height for the jump to the center.

There's another platform on the central stone, that's our next stop. Catch your breath, then jump and glide for the middle of it.

Don't worry if you slip while climbing it, you've got plenty of stamina to recover.

Catch your breath one last time, this is it. Climb to the top.
Route part 7L - the top
This is it, the top of the Seven Sisters. Congratulations! :D
There's a chum up here, go ahead and grab it.
If you want to, you can sit down and let the gentle motion of the stone shift you around, eventually dropping you all the way back to the ground without an emergency bubble. :D
It's also possible to jump and glide to the pillar to the northeast, just past the camp. It has another chum on it you may not have gotten yet.
Or you can relax and just enjoy the view, take some screenshots, feel pride in your accomplishment.
:)
I just showed you the route, YOU are the one that did it.
Low Stamina Route - video
Here's the video of the low stamina route, with only three stamina upgrades. It is very tight in a couple places, but it is doable. I had checked it out with a max-stamina save file, and it seemed reasonable, but this was my first try doing it with stamina this low. Definitely doable, but maybe not entirely reasonable. :P
This was recorded in December 2021, but the only significant change is that stone 4 no longer disappears, I don't think a new video would be particularly more helpful than this one.

Route 5E for the win! It took a few attempts for me to complete it successfully, even with the guide (not sure I would have got there without it - hadn't thought to use the central stone in this way). All kudos and Steam awards for the guide :)

Ok I'll try today. I can't figure out why u'll slip down a little bit when climb.
4ier  [author] 10 Oct, 2022 @ 12:08am
The easiest is probably the low stamina route, especially if you have more than three stamina upgrades. Waiting for all the safety platforms is the lowest risk, like Shaseni commented.

Which method is easiest?

Climbing using the corners was the trick for me. Kept sliding down. Thanks.

Thank you so much for this excellent guide. I left this climb till last for chum 165. However, I found that even following it closely, and even with full stamina, it was still possible to slip, not reach a stone's top, and have to start over.

So what I eventually did was to find a way of reducing risk. And that was ALWAYS to wait for EVERY safety platform to rotate into view, and to use it. After which I got up in one go (apart from pausing with the photo mode on each stone to let my acrophobia subside)!

Wow - I am really impressed by the detail and the content you have worked hard to document and make available! Thank you!

Thank you for making this much less stressful than when I was trying on my own. Very much appreciate all of the time you put into this!
