Those who know me and know my passion for hardcore and to balance out the imperfections in vanilla DayZ will definitely like those little fixes and improvements.
This is for the true connoisseurs :) So, this temporary avatar for the mod explains itself. You are both improved and nearly dead. Possibilites are extended.

And so far* the improvements are:

• dzr_better_long_stick.pbo: any long stick in the game can now be used to cook food without sharpening. New stick model included.
  
• dzr_longer_firestart.pbo: compensates the ability to find bark by making hand drill start fire for 2 minutes, and 20s with matches.
  
• dzr_find_bark.pbo: look on nay forest surface and search for bark without knife, just longer.
  
• dzr_rag_craft.pbo: craft armband and bandana from rags without tools.
  
• dzr_longer_digging.pbo: makes most of the digging longer. At least one minute more. Using "dzr_FieldShovel" will make it even longer by 50%.

*the planned feature list is huge and it will get much better for your hardcore experience.

This mod is heavily experimental. No stable or guaranteed fixes.
The only "guaranteed" here is the urge to make DayZ more hardcore and plausible.

Это попытка улучшить досадные мелкие недоработки в геймплее, которые иногда мешают и атмосфере, и правдоподобности, и балансу.

• dzr_better_long_stick.pbo: Новая улучшенная модель длинной палки. Выживший теперь отламывает или отрезает палку так, что у неё остаётся достаточно острый конец, чтобы насадить еду. Любая длинная палка теперь позволяет готовить еду без затачивания.
  
• dzr_find_bark.pbo: Посмотрите на землю в лесу. Вы сможете найти кору для растопки без ножа, но это займёт больше времени.
  
• dzr_longer_digging.pbo: Продлевает любое копание. Копать придётся примерно на минуту дольше, а сапёрной лопаткой "dzr_FieldShovel" ещё дольше на 50%.
  
• dzr_longer_firestart.pbo: Конмпенсирует возможность бесплатного безлимита на поиск коры тем, что разведение огня теперь требует больше времени и приближено к реальному. Процесс добычи огня ручной дрелью станет для вас настоящим испытанием на несколько минут. Но и радость от добычи огня будет больше. Трите растопку дрелью, со временем растопка начнёт нагреваться и получать урон. Чем горячее и разрушеннее растопка, тем ближе момент возгорания. Розжиг спичками займёт 20 секунд.
  
• dzr_rag_craft.pbo: крафт нарукавной повязки и банданы из простых тряпок без инструментов.

Все моды DZR открыты для любого использования, перепаковка и т.п., чтобы наше DayZ сообщество развивалось и было больше разных проектов и других модов. Только открытая разработка сделает игру бессмертной.
