Mountain Dog Dens

Mountain dogs are strangely rare in Kenshi. They are a vanilla creature, identical to Bonedogs, but bigger and stronger. However, they only appear as pets of Cannibal Hunters. So, where do they come from? Why are they so rare?

This mod aims to address that and give players the chance to adopt some dogs of their own. With this, introduce Mountain Dog Dens, where you can find small groups of them. They only nest in high altitudes and craggy terrain. They are reclusive, less aggressive than the widespread bonedog breeds. Lone dogs will wander away from the nests, roaming their preferred environments, and are indifferent to people.

If you would like to recruit one, Nomad caravans will now sometimes travel with a Mountain Dog pup, and you can purchase a dog in either of the Nomad Villages. Black Dog mercenaries will occasionally travel with them now, but their dogs aren't for sale.

You can recover a dog from one of their dens, too. Tame Beasties doesn't have an option to recruit Mountain Dogs, but with this mod, you can talk to a Dog after imprisoning it, and bribe it with any vanilla meat or fish product - including limbs (you monster!).

As an additional change, Boneyard Wolf Dens have been given a slight redesign. Instead of plain old Bonedog packs, you will now find them cohabitating with some Boneyard Wolf adults and pups. These new additions can be recruited in the same manner as Mountain Dogs.
