To get Steam Workshop items working in-game:

Create a Mods folder in the ArenaVR folder. The directory structure should be Steam > steamapps > common > Axial Drift > ArenaVR > Mods.
Click the green Subscribe button on your desired Workshop item and Steam will download it to Steam > workshop > content > 1707030.
In the 1707030 folder, open the folder of your downloaded mod (e.g. 2680738149 for the Elegy map mod) and copy the .pak file into the Mods folder that you created in Step 1.
Launch Axial Drift and click on Practice to see your map mods in the map list. Character and weapon mods will automatically replace the default skins in the game.
