First Things to Know.
First things to know is that you will need to know a basic understanding of modifying files.
You will only need to modify one file, but I will show how DirectX 11 and 12 look before I show how to switch to DirectX 10.

Steps For DirectX 10 in Borderlands 3
Now I will tell you how to change from either DirectX 11 or 12 to 10.

Go to C:\Users\[YourName]\Documents\My Games\Borderlands 3
with [YourName] being your actual user name used for your OS.
Now open the Saved folder and select and open the Config folder.
Now open the WindowsNoEditor folder and select GameUserSettings.ini

Now scroll down until you reach: PreferredGraphicsAPI=DX11 (or DX12)
and then you change it to DX10 instead of DX11 (or DX12)
It will appear as DirectX 11 or 12 when in-game, but will still say DX10 in the .ini file.

Depends on your hardware.

So is changing it to DX10 actually a good fps booster without losing much if any visuals? or is it more like with DX11/DX12 where it depends on your hardware if its gonna be better or worse for you?

Well, thanks to the person on GamePretty anyway. On gameplay.tips they put it online as if I typed it for the website with some words from the guide being replaced then giving credit to me in a way that felt that it was myself who typed it on the website.

Thanks to whoever put my Steam guide onto a random website and gave credit.

I don't have Riva Tuner. So Idk. If the .ini still says DX10 then it should be DX10. It stopped the bits of stuttering that I had, so Idk.

Hey I'm using riva tuner to show my frames and what api the game uses and even after changing the .ini file to DX10 the ingame overlay shows me its running on DX11 , does it do that for you as well or just me?
