It's the "Edit System Save Data" option in the GUI, below the "Patch game" button for the respective game.

So how can I "edit the vestigial System Data button mapping"? Would be good to map notebook shortcuts to left and right on a dpad.

upd: I do not recommend activate Adjust font spacing for use with HD Cuprum font from CS3 or HD Texture Pack , because of this thing the text goes out of bounds in many places

Okay so I got another one for ya and this will blow your mind, it certainly did mine but the senpatcher seemed to have deleted an enemy model at ancient quarry, for a long while I was just crashing at the entrance but I'd get lucky at times and get as far as in there and to the cutscene but the Golem that was meant to walk up and attack us wasn't there, at first I thought it was the typical JRPG thing of it just starting a fight with no model showing up, the usual lazy affair but in the end I decided that maybe the senpatcher wasn't agreeing with the game all that much, I fixed up my files, got to that point and there it was, the golem model attacking me and the game working again dood.

Only saying what happened, Norton seems to have no issue kicking it away anyways, it's just weird it happened right after I patched the game was all and it only shows up after I quit playing trails of cold steel 1 and it only happened after the patch so it's not the game dood.

I have no idea what you're talking about. You're free to look at the source code if you want to verify what the program is doing, it's all public.

Hmmm ever since I downloaded and used this I keep getting a program trying to look at stuff while my laptop is being left on it's own and weirdly enough when I try to check my Norton says there's nothing there? It seems harmless for now but I admit that's suspicious as heck dood

At this point, you can run the app, but there's one final issue in that the file picker that opens to find the Cold Steel .exe file doesn't show "hidden" files by default, and the game install path on Steam Deck is `/home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common`, so you'll never be able to click through to that `.local` directory.

You can fix this by:

1) Opening Konsole (Click the "Home" button at the bottom left of the taskbar, then selecting System -> Konsole)
2) It will default you to your home dir, so all you have to do is bring up the keyboard (Steam + X) and type `ln -s .local local` to create a symlink so that the file picker can see it.

At this point you can go back to Steam and run the app from your library and you should be able to find the game directory in `/home/deck/local/share/Steam/steamapps/common` and patch it.

Hopefully this helps someone! Aside from some very minor issues with text spilling out of dialogue boxes sometimes, the game runs great on Steam Deck!
