Most modding seems pretty easy for me, very user friendly, I guess it just works for me, my first computer was a ti94a back in early 80s, so yeah, if only kids were as easy to program, but then that would defeat the uniqueness and fun, lulz.
[unitname].xml.ext :
<ufi text part at the top of all files ?>
<unit>
<traits>
<trait name="Unique">
</traits>
</unit>
thats it.
I can make for you, takes literally 2 seconds but im in the process of moving apartments. so if you really want ill do it when i have free time when i continue my hero units mods.
Any way possible for this to be done with other units for other factions?
I'm not sure how lore-friendly it would be exactly, but it'd be pretty cool to have something like a "Damnable Helbrute" for the Chaos faction to go along with the Verereal Doughnut, heh.
Of course, this would also present the possibility & opportunity to make a "hero" version of each unit, like a leaderish sort of figure (sort of like the "eternal Guardsman" in the novels. Maybe while in play they could give all other units of that type bonus stats (which would mean they'd have to be unique also). Or they could work like faction-specific artifacts, like each boosts a specific stat for the entire faction... Idk, just some ideas I had, anyways, great work!
cheers!
