Story and Choices
Are there dialogue choices in this game?
  • Yes. There are many, many dialogue choices throughout the game. Most choices are just banter with different dialogues. Other choices have consequences later in the story, and you'll notice text pop up in the top-right after you make that choice.
How do my choices affect the story?
  • There are different scenes and dialogue based on your choices. None of these choices drastically impacts your experience of the main storyline.
How do my choices affect gameplay?
  • Your choices may make the game slightly easier or slightly harder. For example, a shortcut may open up, or there may be an extra fight.
Are there multiple story branches or endings?
  • No. There is a single main storyline and ending.
Exploration and Collectibles
Can I backtrack to previous areas?
  • No. This is a linear game with no backtracking.
Are there side quests, side bosses, or optional content?
  • No. There is no substantial content outside of the main storyline.
Are there missable items or gear?
  • No, not really. There are no consumables, gear, or any such items that will enhance your characters.
  • Currency and collectibles can be found in small hidden areas throughout the game and can be missed.
What kind of collectibles are there? Are they missable?
  • Outfits are cosmetic skins for the five Guardians. They are found in chests -- often in hidden areas -- and can be missed. If any outfit is missed, you can replay the chapter to unlock the outfit across all of your saves.
  • Compendium entries reveal bits of lore and fill out your Compendium (encyclopedia). Many entries will be filled out as you progress in the story. Some entries are found in the world and can be missed. A few entries will be missed entirely because of the choices that you make. (Don't worry. There is no achievement that requires you to fill out the Compendium completely.)
  • Guardian collectibles are found in the world and can be missed. Once collected, the item will be added in the Guardians' room within the Milano. When you interact with the item, you'll have a conversation with the Guardian and learn more about their background.
  • Note that when you replay a chapter via Chapter Select, the progress you make here and the items that you collect here are not saved. However outfits are an exception and can be unlocked and carried over to the save files.
What currencies are there? Should I save up for later in the game?
  • Components are used only to unlock perks. No, you don't need to save up. If you are on the lookout for these, you will have plenty of components to unlock all the perks before the end of the game.
  • There's a special currency called Galactic Units. There is a missable achievement related to this. Read the last section "Galactic Frugality (Achievement)" if you want to make sure you get the achievement.
Will I be able to unlock all perks and abilities?
  • Yes. You will have plenty of components (even if you don't collect all of them) and ability points before the end of the game. Grinding is not necessary (or even possible in this game).
Achievements
Are there missable achievements?
  • Yes. There is one achievement, if missed, that will require you to replay the story. Read the last section "Galactic Frugality (Achievement)" .
Is it possible to get all achievements in a single playthrough?
  • Yes. However you likely won't get all of the combat-related achievements by the end of the story. You might also miss some outfits. You can replay chapters at any time to collect missed outfits and complete progress towards these achievements.
Are achievements locked if I play on a lower difficulty level?
  • No. All achievements are available regardless of the difficulty level.
Difficulty and Accessibility Settings
What difficulty level should I choose?
  • In my opinion, this game is easy. If you want a challenge, choose a higher difficulty level. You can always change the difficulty settings later.
Will I miss any content or achievements for choosing a lower difficulty level?
  • No. All content and achievements are available regardless of difficulty and accessibility settings.
Are there any noteworthy settings before I start?
  • Difficulty Settings > Hints System. The game will give you hints if you're stuck in an area for too long. This setting determines how long it takes for these hints to show up, if at all.
  • Accessibility Settings > Exploration Dot. Enabling this adds a small reticle when outside of combat. This is helpful for aiming at environmental objects.
Galactic Frugality (Achievement)

What's important about this achievement?
  • Certain choices will lock you out of this achievement. In which case, you'll need to start a new game from the beginning.
What do I need to do to make sure I don't get locked out of this achievement?
  • Do not spend Galactic Units other than to pay the fine.
Give me more details, without any spoilers.
  • Only in Chapter 6, you will have the opportunity to spend Galactic Units on other things. At the end of this, make sure you still have enough units to pay the fine.
  • I recommend that you keep a save slot at the beginning of Chapter 6 ("Between a Rock and a Hard Place") and do not overwrite it.

If you are actively looking for collectibles, you should easily get the Lore Hoarder achievement. I haven't heard of any issue that would prevent that from happening, so I can't comment on that.

Hey, are you sure that this is the only bad missable achievement. Ive heard there are some Issues with Lore Hoarder not completing if not done in one playthrough?
