How to make Valve games not ugly

Step 1: Open the console
Press the little ` button, there you go.

Or maybe go enable it if you haven't already.
Step 2: Type this command
mat_disable_bloom 1

thats it

Valve adds way too much bloom to all of their games and not enough people know how to disable it. It cleans up the edges for TF2, makes DoD and CSS more playable and fixes the issue of older Garry's Mod maps having the bloom be incredibly over-saturated. Try it, looks great.

oh yeah and garrys mod too. Like, some maps, especially older ones, really fucking hurt to look at because the bloom is too intense.
