Description

This mod adds a few units for Pontus, reduces the recruitment requirement for Bronze Shield Pikemen from Royal Barracks (tier 4) to Hoplite Barracks (tier 3), and enables recruitment of Persian Light Archers.

Units Added:
Pontic Skirmisher Cavalry - A cavalry javelin skirmisher unit with medium armor and average melee ability. Requires Mercenary Camp (tier 4) to build in campaign.

Bronze Shield Hoplites - A high tier hoplite unit. Requires Hoplite Barracks (tier 3) to build in campaign.

Bronze Shield Peltasts - An elite melee unit with high armor. Requires Royal Barracks (tier 4) to build in campaign.

I did notice that the bronze shield peltasts are recruitable from the campaign in the hoplite barracks (tier 3) but the mod page says it is a tier 4 barracks unit. they can make the game quite easy and other units useless at hoplite barracks

Everything is working fine, and I'm not sure if the creator is still active, but I noticed some texture clipping with the Bronze Shield Peltasts unit. The clothes they have underneath their armor do come out of their armor a little. Its nothing too big, but it is still noticeable. It would be nice if that were to be corrected if possible.

@maffers I am looking to do a Pontic campaign soon; just a quick query - Are Bronze Shield Peltasts useable as a General unit?

A great unit mod. It fleshes out the Pontus roster nicely and the units are well balanced. That's the kind of mod I'm looking for. There are lots of other nice unit mods out there, but many of them simply add too many new units for my taste or the units are OP.
