So, you installed Clownfield 2042. Pog. You drop into a multiplayer game, and the basics are obvious enough, but how about your grenades? Knife? Talking? Or, maybe you have no idea what a keyboard is and everything about its many buttons scare the ♥♥♥♥ out of you. Fear not: I went through the 3 minutes of effort to compile this guide's many answers simply because of the fact that there is always a match with someone asking about controls of some kind.

W: Walk Forward, aka in the direction you are facing.
A: Strafe left. So, left of whatever you are facing.
S: Walk backwards, so the opposite of where you are facing.
D: Strafe right, so to the right of where you are facing.
C and Left Ctrl: Crouch. Get low.
Q: Lean left. Yes, you can lean. Tryhard your heart out.
E: Lean Right. Self explanatory, if you aren't a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ troglodyte.
Left Shift: Makes you run. Get that cardio going.
Spacebar: Jump. Work on that vertical while pretending it makes you harder to shoot if you are bouncing.


Left Click: Shoot your gun. You DO have a gun, do you not?
Right Click: ADS, hopefully your aim isn't ♥♥♥♥.
R: Reload your gun. For some reason, this can usually be done from a completely full magazine. Don't do that.
1 and 2: Selects your primary (1) or sidearm (2) respectively. Switching to your pistol is faster than reloading, maybe.

V: Use your melee. At time of writing, this is just a hunting knife, but I imagine you will have more stuff later.

K and Enter: Opens text chat. No idea why two buttons do the same damn thing.
Left Alt: Voice chat! Keep the slurs to a minimum. Or a maximum, I couldn't give a ♥♥♥♥.

H: Throw your non-lethal grenade. Given how much physical mental and emotional agony the flashbangs cause though, I can't really call them "nonlethal" with a straight face.
G: Throw your lethal grenade. Right now, that consists of a frag. Toss these at spawns, flags, or clusters of oblivious snipers.

W: Move Forward.
A: Move Left
S: Move Backwards
D: Move Right.
C or Left Ctrl: Crouch
Left Shift: Run
Spacebar: Jump


Left Click: Shoot your gun.
Right Click: ADS
R: Reload your gun.
1 and 2: Selects your primary (1) or sidearm (2) respectively.
V: Use your melee.
H: Throw your non-lethal grenade.
G: Throw your lethal grenade.

You now know what buttons to press to do simple tasks, so stop reading this guide and go kill something. Capture a flag, commit a government sanctioned homicide, waste taxpayer money by throwing grenades into empty homes and reload a magazine that was only missing 3 bullets. You are a veteran now, go give em hell.
