The first step of every gamemode is to connect to a server. If you live in Europe, I'd suggest you join here: 109.236.80.57:27015

Connecting takes no longer than 5 minutes. (Unless the server has custom addons).

The first things you might want to know is, you can choose two paths, Melee or Ranged.

Q - Menu
You can spend your ability points, craft, check your inventory and keep look at players and build squads by holding down Q.

Abilities
When you spawn, you are level 1. While being level 1 you have the ability to spend one of your ability points. Whatever ability path you're choosing it'll always say "Melee" or "Ranged" above the talents.

Inventory
In your inventory you'll have two weapons, one is melee and one is ranged. Choose what path you want to go and right-click and press "Use" and you'll get the weapon equipped. That goes for everything edible or usable, right-click and press "Use".

Squads/Groups
Holding down Q and going to the cog icon will get you to the player list. Next to their names you can see a cog and a mute button. If you want to invite one of the players to a squad, press the cog and click "Invite to squad". Now, squads have both bad and good benefits.
Good side:

• Kill enemies faster
  
• Share loot
  
• If killing a boss, everyone in the group will recieve ceasar tokens.

Bad side

• EXP gets shared between every squad member
  
• Loot will be shared. (Ninja looting)

Melee

Melee is always good in close ranged and tanking. Melee is the easier way of learning the gamemode. For starters I would recommend using Melee.

Pros
• Deal more damage.
  
• Easier to learn
  
• AOE skills (Area of effect)

Cons
• Close range.
  
• Slower attack rate.
  
• Attacked more.

Ranged

Ranged is good in ranged combat. Ranged is the more advanced way of dealing damage in Underdone: Reborn. When you feel ready to learn Ranged, i'd suggest you try it out.

Pros
• Faster attacks. (Depending on the weapon).
  
• Ranged, less contact with the enemy.

Cons
• Less damage.
  
• Costs ammo.

There are 5 different weapon types, Assault rifles, SMG, shotguns, snipers and pistols.

Assault rifles
• Medium fire rate
  
• Mid-ranged.
  
• Medium damage.

SMG
• High fire rate.
  
• Close ranged.
  
• Low damage

Shotgun
• Low fire rate
  
• Close ranged.
  
• High damage

Snipers
• Low fire rate.
  
• Long ranged.
  
• High damage.

Pistols
• Low fire rate.
  
• Close range
  
• Medium damage.

What every RPG game/gamemode have is quests. Quests are the essential way to get EXP and earn stuff like money and items. Quests are also a great way to learn the ropes of Underdone. Some quests in Underdone are repeatables and can be done over and over again to gain EXP.

The first Area you will encounter is the "Exiled hideout", this is the first Area and the beginner Area. Exiled hideout is considered to be for levels between 1 - 20. The next area is called "Combine outpost" and is from levels 20 - 35. And the last area is called "Helios enrichments center" it is for all levels above 35+.
