Before we get started on anything, please note that this is for the Asia Server of Mega Man X (or Rockman in select regions) DiVE! If you are playing NebulaJoy's version of the game, commonly known as Global Server, you are out of luck.

Before we begin, please make sure you have the following

• A vaild Rockman X DiVE Asia Account
  
• Access to your Rockman X DiVE Asia Account through mobile device
  
• Your Account's Lead Account ID
  
• Password to Lead Account ID

If you do not have any of these, go in to the Settings menu under Account and view the Lead Account used for transfer in the Transfer Account section. If you are a new player, this guide will help you set up the Lead Account ID and the password for it.

Please note that despite being called a Transfer, it doesn't actually transfer your account from whatever platform you are starting from to the other. It's more closer to Account Linking, rather than Account Transfer...English isn't exactly Capcom Taiwan's native language. I'm just keeping it consistent with their wording and broken translations for English.

You will be able to play the game on the same account without needed to log in again between the two platforms once everything is done. The same account can be on either platform as long as they are logged into the same Lead Account. You cannot log into the same channel/server when playing on both platforms at the same time, but you can log into different areas while on the same account on both platforms.

We shall start from a fresh install.

Please note this step has been done on the mobile version of the game! There are few differences when starting the game on Steam, but can be followed, with minor differences in the interface, such as lack of social media connecting and login options when on Steam.

Before we begin, download the app for the game. You can download the official APK for android from the official Rockman X DiVE Taiwanese site, as well as have access to the Google Play and Apple Store links for the game: http://rxd.capcom.com.tw/en/

If you are playing on Steam for the first time, install the game.

You may skip this step if you already have an account ready.

Install the game after downloading the official APK from the link above. If you're on Steam, download and install from Steam. Once installed, start up the game. After downloading whatever is need, you will be at the Title Screen.


Tap anywhere on the screen. You will be be greeted with a list of log in methods, for now simply select "Login as Guest" and proceed to the Region Select menu after hitting OK at the warning screen. You can log into any of the other options if you so desire. If you are playing on Steam, you must log into Steam with the Steam Button.



Select any region listed except "Other". My recommendation is to simply set it to "Taiwan" for simplicity sake and it's a lot easier to remember. It doesn't appear to affect anything as far as I am aware. Personally, I went for Singapore, but that's just me. Once you select your region, it cannot be changed. Make a note of it just in case.



After agreeing, select your channel of choice. This will affect your ranking, who you come across in Ranked PvP, and Guilds. Tap the channel Box and select the one you want to be in. You can ignore the Recommended Area tab. To put it simply, X is the most popular, then Zero, then Axl, then finally Vile. If you intend to join your friend's guild, chat with them and make sure you and your friends are in the same channel. Otherwise, everything else outside of rankings and ranked modes are cross server. You can add people from the other channels, chat with them, co-op, friendly PvP, and much more.



Once you select your channel, tap anywhere. Your Player ID for that channel will be generated. You will also be greeted with a preset name.



You can change it to whatever you see fit, within 10 characters; space counts as 1 character. Some symbols cannot be inputted on Mobile, but seems to work fine on PC? You can also reroll for another random name of that's your jam...Once you create or pick a suitable name for yourself, it will boot you into the game with an intro sequence and play the game until you clear 1-2. Follow the tutorial, do what you gotta do, and carry on into the next step. You can skip the intro sequence and you can quit stage 1-1 via the pause button. The game may ask you to download data after finishing 1-1 if you are starting from a fresh install. There are no penalties for skipping 1-1.

Please note this step must be done on mobile! Log in to your Rockman X DiVE Asia Account. If you are starting fresh, see the previous step to get started.

Once 1-3 is available in the story, or maybe you're currently on your existing account, it is time to set up your Account Settings. Go to the Gear Icon in the main menu.



Tap Account in the Settings menu. You should see a page of Account Binds you can make for Twitter, LINE, and Facebook, as well as an unset Transfer Account under those three boxes. If your Lead Account is "Not Set" tap Settings in that area. If you see a jumbled mess of letters and Numbers, that's your Transfer ID. While you're here, go ahead and link either a Twitter or Facebook to the account to make it easier to come back to when you're on your mobile device. For those playing NebulaJoy's Global Version installed while having the Asia Version of the app installed, linking Facebook will not override your link with Global, and vice versa. it is consider two different accounts.



For the purposes of this guide, there is a viewable Transfer ID as an example. Do not share this ID, as it is your master account ID. It is the key to your entire account, binds and all. It also houses your other channels, so if you play on Both X and Zero channels, this Lead Account ID is what links both of those back to you. Now, set a password. Write it down after finishing, as you only get to type it in once! Be sure to remember for the future as well!




Now that your Password is set, an ID while be generated. Write it down and keep it safe somewhere. Losing this ID and the password will result in an account lockout. Hitting the Setting buttons in the same box will prompt a password change, in the case you don't like your old password, or you feel your account is compromised.

Enter your old password, then your new one twice, making note of the new password somewhere in case you forget.


You are now ready to get on Steam!

Please note this step must be done on Steam!
At this point you should have downloaded and installed Mega Man X DiVE through Steam and have it launched. You should be greet with the title screen after some downloads.



Click anywhere. You will be greeted with two options of logging in. Select Transfer Account.



You will be prompted to input your Lead Account ID you made in the previous step, as well as the password to it. Input yours at this screen. Your Lead Account ID is not case sensitive, so lowercase is fine.



Once inputted, you should be able to log into the game if inputted correctly. Select your channel by clicking the box, and make sure you select the same channel you created your account in, or your main channel if you play multiple channels. Click anywhere on the screen after selecting a channel




At this point you may go into the Account Settings and Bind Steam to save yourself the trouble of logging back in with the Lead Account ID. You may also start playing the game from this point!

As a reminder, you're not actually transferring your account from mobile into Steam. It's more like linking your account from Mobile to Steam, allowing access to it. You do not need to relog in in between the two platforms. You can play on both Mobile and Steam versions using the same account! At home? Play on Steam! Going out? Grab your device and play!

In the case you are on Steam and you decided you bring your account to mobile, the only thing you can do to bring your steam account to a mobile device is use the Transfer Account function when you are attempting to log into the app.

If you started on Steam first and decide you wanted to play the game on the go, it's easy. As usual, start the game on Steam, log in into your main channel, and then click the gear. (Mobile screenshot used, but it's the same layout)


Once in the settings, click on Account and you will notice that the only available account bind is Steam while you're on the Steam version of the game. Go ahead and bind your account to Steam so that in the future, you can return to it on Steam when redownloading the game if you uninstall it.


Below the Steam Account Bind box is a Transfer Account section. You should see that it has been set to "Not Set". Click on Setting, set a Password and make a note of it. You can only type it in once, so be sure to take extra care when inputting the password. Once you set up a password, a Lead Account ID will be generated. Make a note of what it is and do not lose it. Losing both the account ID and password will result in an account lockout. The Lead Account ID is what links all your progress back to your account. Clicking the Setting button after the Lead Account ID has been generated will prompt a Password Change box, which can be used in the case you feel your account is compromised, or you want to change the password.

Once you have the Lead Account ID set up and ready to go, as well as having the password on hand, it is time to download the app. You can find the official app as a standalone on android through the official website, as well as links to the Google Play and Apple Store versions of the game: http://rxd.capcom.com.tw/en/

Once your game installed, start it up, let it download whatever initial updates it needs, accepting them, etc., and you will be booted to the title screen when everything is done. Tap anywhere on the screen and tap "Transfer Account" as the Sign-in method. From there, simply input the Lead Account ID and the password you made for it. Lead Account ID is not case sensitive, so feel free to use lowercase letters instead of uppercase. Once you're in, select your main channel and you're good to go!

Now you can play Mega Man X DiVE on your phone, mobile device, or on your favorite phone emulator.

In the case you have forgotten your password, but you still have the Lead Account ID on hand, this section is for you. I'm going to throw this upfront.

You can only reset your Lead Password for your Lead Account once, and only once per account. Unless someone shares their experience, I was told you can only get it done only once.

Let's get the process started to reset your Lead Account Password. Best done on Mobile, but can be done on Steam version.

Once you are in your account, click the Gear Icon to access the settings menu. Alternatively, you can also do this by tapping Menu on the title screen and tapping "Report a Problem" while logged into the account you're trying to reset the password for.



Tapping Report a Problem will direct you to a form you can fill out, provided you followed the above steps while logged into the account.


Fill out the form as best you can and request a Lead Account Password Reset. For the Problem category, select "Other". You will need the following information when requesting a reset:

• Your main Channel/Server
  
• Your Player ID of main Channel/Server
  
• Current Player Level of main Channel/Server
  
• Current Player Name of main Channel/Server
  
• Last known login date to main Channel/Server
  
• Lead Account ID
  
• Last known transaction, with proof of purchase. You can grab this through an e-mail receipt, purchase history from google play, or whatever your charged the transaction to.

Once everything is filled out, you will have to wait for a reply. If anything is missing, they will request it. To view the ticket, scroll down at the bottom of the form and tap Reply List. This page contains any and all submitted requests, tickets, and customer service issues for that account. Check on it the following day based on Taiwan's time zone. Depending when you submitted the request, you may not get an instant reply. Once the request has processed, and they find relevant information regarding your account's validity, you will receive a temporary password, which you can use to reset your Lead Account Password using the Settings next to your Lead Account ID in the Account settings.

In the event cannot access the game, whether due to maintenance or issues with getting into the game, you can directly email customer service though the following e-mail: service@capcom.com.tw

Make the subject line on the e-mail something along the lines of "Reset Lead Account Password" and detail your message with the information listed above. Then wait for a reply, and send additional information when necessary.
