Astro's Stellaris Overhaul - Empire Creation
This mod is meant to provide you (and the AI!) with more options for empire creation. It should result in a more varied galaxy.
Note: Should be compatible with virtually any mod.
Recent Updates
- Updated for 4.0.x compatibility.
- Removed all custom Portraits; the devs keep changing how they work and I don't have time to keep troubleshooting.
- Fixed traits, civics, static modifiers, and councilors for 4.0.
- Fixed Rogue Planet sky background image.
- Fixed pop-related events for 4.0 (e.g., random_owned_pop = random_owned_pop_group).

    -- Amoeba Alveo: This civilization shares a special bond with the Space Amoebas that breed in its home system.
    -- Eldest Sibling: This society has an old legend about splinter groups of the population who left the planet in search for other planets to colonize in nearby solar systems.
    -- Enlightened: [Warning! Challenging Origin!] The natural development of this civilization was greatly accelerated by the interference of another party, who helped them become a spacefaring culture.
    -- Living Planet: Convergent evolution has resulted in this planet slowly being entirely covered by a single Hive Mind organism.
    -- Overlord: This civilization established early contact with its immediate alien neighbor. Gradually, over the span of a century, subjugated their hapless neighbor into a subject state.
    -- Rogue Planet: [Warning! Challenging Origin!] This civilization's homeworld is a starless rogue planet floating in the void of space. An abnormally hot core and constant vulcanism allow life to thrive on the planet surface.
    -- Ruins of Our Homeworld: Based on the Ruins of Earth novels - This civilization's homeworld is currently being invaded by aliens. However, the skies are empty. Where are they coming from?
    -- Shielded: This civilization developed on a planet surrounded by The Veil, an ancient planetary shield. With the shield's power now beginning to fade, the planet's inhabitants are now free to explore the galaxy.
    -- Sins of the Past: Whether through accident, war, or another means, this civilization nuked their own planet. A small portion of their populace escaped to an orbital habitat before the planet became completely uninhabitable. Enough time has passed, now, that their homeworld is habitable, if only barely.
    -- Tale of Two Planets: A choose-your-own-adventure origin (with random elements) involving another habitable planet in your home system.

Love your mod and what it does for my games, but it really needs a compatch with UI Overhaul Dynamic. I'd make one, but I'm not experienced enough with the modding of Stellaris to do so.

what does the amoeba one do?. will they patrol and defend your territory cause so far i have not gotten past the breeding ground events first one and i got this mod only for those fluffy space friends

@Pavuk - I see that, too. I'll add a scrollbar to the To Do list.

@Dukkokun - I would be happy to rename it. Can you give me a specific instruction so that I can do it correctly? (e.g., rename ABC.XYZ to DEF.HJK).

Too many colors in the palette, goes out of bounds when using the Owerhaul UI, compatibility patches/fixes for Expanded Color don't help, nor does rearranging mods

I don't think I have any UI overwrites in this mod. What filename are you referring to?

Any chance you could rename your UI overwrites to something that doesn't overwrite UIOD? i.e. a filename that starts with a_something
