A generic 1440x900 75hz monitor but I mostly just stick with 60hz for PD:TH and PD2. I was running windows 7 home premium at the time, and only had 3,40 GB (usable) of 1333MHZ DDR3 ram.

No, Beardlib won't help your performance. All the mods I've listed here won't use it at all either.



The right print comes from a decent computer: I3 9100F, 16GB DDR4 2666 MHZ & RX 570 4GB. Beardlib was in use and the game was on the lowest vanilla settings. The left print was my old rig with low settings but no beardlib. Both of these screenshots were taken at the main menu, but memory usage spikes up even further in actual heists.

Two mod types were tested, a outfit mod[modworkshop.net] and hud mod[modworkshop.net]. these two were somehow able to dramatically increase the game's memory usage, now imagine with even more mods.

DX11 shaders fix helped mainly with my stability, not performance as it was stated in the mod description. The BLT port of lower shadow map does what it says and is superior to the OG. However removing shadows entirely is more effective. You can use both actually, and most heists are unplayable without map optimizations and celer.

No Prints can give you a few bits of FPS if you're really struggling, but not that much useful. It does feel incomplete not including it. Blur removal on cook off and hotline miami day 1 makes a HUGE difference; that noxious effect is badly optimized even on good PCs. Disable fog helps a lot in heists that actually have the effect.

The mod_overrides section of this guide has been deleted due to the fact that I've realized it was purely placebo. Most of the textures in this game have mipmaps, and they are properly downscaled according to your texture quality settings. At best I could only recommend the ones that downscale 6K/4K textures, like the humvee optimization mod[modworkshop.net] or the mariachis[modworkshop.net].

If you're really looking for these kind of mods, I'd suggest browsing through Jarey_'s[modworkshop.net] or Matthelzor's[modworkshop.net] mod catalog.

Adaptive streaming chunk size will crash your game. Full speed swarm would have been viable if it didn't exaggerate on the cop spawngroups, performance comes first did more harm than good and never worked for me, and finally, disabling outlines is a cosmetic framerate gain. Don't bother with any kind of texture packs that promises to optimize the textures, you will get a better result by tuning down the the texture quality slider in-game.


Stay away from VanillaHud. I have received several reports of clients crashing others that don't have it in online, which can also freeze the host's game, worsen the effects of desync, make players unable to join and quit the lobby properly. Stick with standalone HUD mods, as they are easily maintained by the creator and are much more reliable.

That's about it, be aware that my modlist were the only set of performance mods that actually worked for me. Definitely check out these guides below, and you will have to fight a lot with this game if you want it to run on similar specs like the one I used to have.
