No longer possible after Dark Fog update. The whole location looks different on that seed. There's coal there but it's further from the water and not arranged like this. Here's what worked for me:
"It seems the hit box has been changed and won't work in the latest version. The seed 87679369 still works but you need to switch to older version to achieve this. Right click on the game > Properties > Betas > Beta Participation > 0.8.x - DSP Alpha 0.8 latest" - reddit user Shohei918
