How to Disable Virtual Reality

We've all done it at one point or another. Here's a short guide on how to fix your game if you accidentally enabled the Virtual Reality setting.

As of Slender: The Arrival's latest update, this guide is outdated and only applies to older versions of the game.
Making Repairs
  • Press ~ to bring up the command console.
  • Type toggledebug and to enable debug mode.
  • Type togglevr to turn off virtual reality.
  • Type resetprefs in order to fully reset all game settings including gamma.
  • Type reload in order to restart the scene.
  • You might have to restart the game for the change to take effect.

Don't forget to type toggledebug to disable the debug function when you're done. Steam achievements are disabled when debugging due to the ability to cheat.
