If you want a good BB you need a good fleet.
Battleships in War on the sea, are Slow lumbering Beasts with powerful Armaments. But Because they are slow, their good targets for Subs and Carrier planes.

I Would Recommend Having The Ship be escorted by the following

Two: Heavy Cruisers.
Two:Light Cruisers
Minimum: Two Destroyers
Maximum: five Destroyers.

Also i should point out something.
DON'T EVER HAVE YOUR BB IN A GROUP WITH A HIGH SPEED CV.
Why? Carriers need to be fast, and your BB will slow it down a bit, therefore have your BB and CV in different task forces.
Carriers are a pain to fight.
Like i said, BB's are slow lumbering beast. There are two things BB's need to worry about, Carriers and Subs. Against submarines you just need DD's, Carriers though, oh boy.

Carriers are Annoying because aircraft can get through the AA, I Would Recommend Having atleast Two Atlanta Class CL's and Remember When carrier planes are flying around, Always Turn on your radar, turning it on lets you see planes, ships, and sometimes torpedoes on your minimap. for submarine attacks make sure that your always manuvering, Change your speed and Heading so you throw off enemy torpedoes.
Surface Battles/Positioning.
If you made it this far, thanks for reading. Now Here is what BBs are known for.

Surface Battles.

Battleships have Good guns, and Strong armor, its the most tankiest class in the game right now. for BB's unless the enemy is crippled, Stay at Range and don't let your Battleship fire (Do this by selecting your BB and Click a button called "Cease") Until the Solution is Over 70 or so Percent. After that, your Battleship can place, Long Range Accurate Salvo's. If the enemy has a Battleship, have YOUR Battleship focus their Battleship, so it sinks as soon as possible. I would position the Battleship fleet in an area where planes are hard to reach you, you want your BB to have as little Areial contact as possible. A Stationary BB is a SUNK BB.
Night Battles.
Oh God Night battles. You have to play more defensively in night battles, when the enemy has or you think they have a DD, as they can do a surprise torpedo launch that is more intimidating than the yamato's guns. As you will never see it coming. just like dealing with subs, Adjust your speed and direction accordingly and place long range accurate salvo's from a distance.
Know Your Limit, Play Within it.
The Main moral of BB play is know your limit play within it, know what your up against know what your BB's are capable of, and don't do something stupid. (unless its for the butt of a joke)

Hope this helps! And you can Tell us in the comments about how you used BB's. Thanks for Reading.

I have cornered enemy fleets against islands and gotten extremely close with battleships and even at 2000 yards light cruisers eat the shells from battleships like they are nothing. I ran out of ammo for the main guns and resorted to ramming which was marginally more effective. But they did sink eventually and the damage to Kongo's front armor was negligible so ramming is a viable strategy.

Instead of escorting a BB with two heavy cruisers, just have a 2nd BB.

the guns are so inaccurate there's no point to bb's. you can fire at a maneuvering CA at 9km for 25+ salvos and only deal light dmg to it.

Oh yeah i used my yamato class as a torpedo blockade. So if a Torpedo ever comes, ill either dodge but if i cant, ill just use a yamato class BB to tank torpedo hits

This helped me understand to keep bbs out of the fleet

As someone who uses carriers way too much, this helped me manage the big boys of the surface fleet.
Good guide
