DeadGuy's Class Pack [LWOTC]

Description
I’ve been playing the XCOM games, and especially the Long War variants, for a pretty long time. During that time I’ve come up with some class ideas that I think are pretty interesting, so I decided to put them together.

This is a pack of eight new classes for Long War of the Chosen created from existing perk packs. You can find the full class trees, as well as some clarifications on certain perks, here [docs.google.com]/.

Rioter – carrying a primary grenade launcher and a ballistic shield, rioters are resilient and excel with grenades but drop in effectiveness drastically if they run out.
  • the Artillery spec focuses on the use of grenades to directly attack and damage enemies.
  • the Destroyer spec provides a large number of grenades and options, but aren’t as good at consistently dealing damage.
  • the Blitz spec trades staying power for mobility and action economy, allowing the rioter to rush around the battlefield and throw lots of grenades in quick succession.
Operator – a long-range support class with a sniper rifle and a GREMLIN. They start with Medical Protocol and Squadsight (they technically get some other abilities too, but they have no effect unless the Chaining Jolt ability is taken at Tech Sergeant.)
  • the Healer spec directly supports the team with healing and protection.
  • the Finisher spec reliably takes down targets already damaged by other squad-mates.
  • the Disabler spec weakens and stuns enemies through specialized shots and GREMLIN protocols.
Patrol – an aggressive and highly mobile front liner with an assault rifle and a sawed-off. They start with Hunter Protocol, allowing them to sometimes take shots at enemies as they activate.
  • the Control spec boosts overwatch, improving Hunter Protocol which in turn supports the use of Ever Vigilant.
  • the Midrange spec is all about reliably outputting plenty of damage, with increased accuracy, damage, and number of attacks.
  • the Aggro spec improves mobility, allowing the user to get more out of the sawed-off shotgun, while Hunter Protocol makes it safer to charge forward.
Marksman – with a rifle and a holotargeter, and starting with Rapid Targeting and Center Mass, marksmen are accurate and deadly, and can support the rest of the squad at the same time. Though unlike rangers, marksmen can only shoot once per turn.
  • the Special FX spec gives a variety of special shots that have secondary effects on targets.
  • the Surefire spec doubles down on everything the marksman is already good at, ensuring a strong hit on a target in any situation.
  • the One-Shot spec improves crit chances and crit damage to take down foes in a single shot. They’re also excellent bolt caster users.
Bandit – using a rifle or shotgun in addition to the gauntlet, bandits differentiate themselves from technicals through their focus on stealth, making them excellent ambushers and scouts.
  • the Infiltrator spec improves stealth capability while giving a few useful perks that can be used while retaining concealment.
  • the Am-Bushfire spec boosts the gauntlet’s flamethrower while also providing other opportunities and options for taking down enemy pods from concealment.
  • the Destroyer spec allows the bandit to use their rocket/s at long range to blast away foes while staying safe.
Vigilante – with a rifle or shotgun in one hand and a combat knife or sword in the other, vigilantes start with Bladestorm and Interrupt and move forward aggressively on your turn to attack during the alien’s turn.
  • the Durability spec reduces wound recovery time and provides defensive measures to mitigate high-risk high-reward abilities.
  • the Mobility spec can cover great distances over a battlefield to get into an ideal position, taking down foes along the way.
  • the Avenger spec punishes any foe that attacks the vigilante while encouraging them to try to do so.
Striker – using a sniper rifle without Squadsight is difficult, but a striker has their arc thrower as a backup option. Battlespace allows the striker to see a few tiles further, and Coup de Grâce gives the striker massive bonuses against impaired foes.
  • the Backline spec turns the Striker into a more conventional sniper, even granting Squadsight, though they need a teammate to impair enemies in order to unleash their full power.
  • the Set em’ Up spec allows a striker to quickly impair an enemy with the arc thrower then hit them for massive damage.
  • the Gambler spec allows for a more mobile play-style at the cost of reliability, stunning and shooting random targets and hoping they line up.
Paladin – they can use any primary weapon, but their real strength comes from the psi amp they use as a secondary. Unlike regular psi operatives, paladins don’t use their psionics for direct damage or disabling enemies, but to complement their gunplay and support the squad.
  • the Dishonourable spec grants teleportation powers and bonuses when the paladin attacks from a flanking position.
  • the Bloodshed spec grants special shots that drain HP from the target, or cost HP to gain increased damage and accuracy.
  • the Cleric spec allows the paladin to protect their teammates while also allowing those teammates to hit harder and more reliably.
Credits
Mitzruti for their own perks as well as porting perks to WotC from other creators, as well as the primary grenade launchers used by rioters.
Kiruka for the ABB perk pack and port of the Shadow Ops classes for LWotC (from which I copy-pasted a lot of the class data)
Favid for their own extended perk pack as well as porting the Shadow Ops perks to WotC
Xylthixlm for originally creating the Shadow Ops classes and perks
Ketaros for making tons of cool icons, some of which are used for these classes
4rrakis for helping me figure out how to give rioters primary grenade launchers
And of course, the entire teams behind LW2 and LWotC.

this class pack rules, thanks for making it! I especially love Bandit!

Uninstalled. Thanks for the mod, but having to subscribe to all the classes and having to subscribe to some dubious mods (like Primary Grenade Launcher) made me unsub from this mod.

It is not downloading from Steam.

i have installed the mod , but it cannot show up in mid list, how to fix it?

Thanks for your work. IMHO it's not a good idea to put many classes in one mod ( maybe I only need a sniper in my game). Please make separate mods for each class.

This mod won't show up under the mod list, so I am unable to activate it

I mainly use Paladins and Patrols

Patrol is the one who always go first. If you get a good weapon (like Psionic Reaper) the pod you go into can just die as it shows. I prefer the overwach line (overwatch + hunter protocol can make that you fire twice on same enemy)

Paladins are good flankers (only thing that can be better is Phase Walk + Banish combo which I like especially vs Chosen) I use mainly cannon as their weapon and just boost their ability to get flanking shots and their performance at flanking

Yeah the patrol class seems to have issues. Probably some of it's skills are conflicting had to disable it. The slowdowns every time you click to move seems it's not compatible with LWOTC.

Know I said it before, want to say it again: Paladin is one of the best classes I've ever used. Great variety of abilities, thinks outside the box for psionic classes, and GOD I just love the defensive and offensive stuff. Like, I just transpositioned with a Stun Lancer in cover and put him in a flanking position with the rest of my squad, then shot him.

Petrol class has slow down on movement, particularly bad on the maps with lots enemies like HQ assaults.
