1962 Pearson Triton 28

Description
The Pearson Triton 28 sailboat was first introduced in 1959 and was one of the first pleasure boats built in the United States with an all Fiberglas hull, ushering in a new age in pleasure boat design and construction. Designed by Carl Alberg she had modern yet traditional lines and was quick and nimble for her time, and could navigate open waters easily. When production ceased in 1968 700 sloops and yawls had been produced and they can still be found the world over, enjoyed by all those that own them.

This version of the Pearson Triton 28 is of a 1962 model, however it has been "remodeled" and includes modern appliances and equipment. She handles and behaves semi-realistically when compared to a real sailboat. I recommend watching the tutorial I posted, as well as looking at the screenshots so you can get the best out of the boat.

***Also, please reference the screenshots above as several features are hidden from view***

REQUIRES MODDED WORKBENCH

Specifications:
  • Hull Speed: 6-7 KTS*
*Hull Speed is a mathematical figure only, the boat can easily exceed this speed under the right conditions.
  • Fuel Range: 25km+
  • Passenger Capacity: Seats 11, Sleeps 3
  • Includes Garmin Echo Plotter Display
While there isn't "technically" a heater present, remaining in the cabin should keep you warm, to a point.

Have fun and happy sailing!

ENJOY!

The conceptual idea for how the sails look and operate is truly the work of Andzen. I did not use any of his work be it logic or parts but the idea was all his. Go check out his workshop here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/profiles/76561199011527023/myworkshopfiles/?appid=573090

UPDATE 30 DEC 2022:
- Added a winch for the Main Sail
(Select raise/lower (on/off) for the Main Sail, then turn the crank for about 3 seconds; the main sail will then raise automatically. Same for lowering it)
- Host of other small visual and grammatical changes

Dbroussa, hello.
I'm on the fence about it. Part of me ofcourse wants to, but the other part of me thinks I worked hard on the original design and doesn't want that work to be null and void.
We'll see...

Will this be redone for the new update?

Slippery, either use a LARGE dock, a modified one, or create a mission and spawn it where ever you would like.
Hope that helps!

no problem! and one more suggestion, the dragonfly evolution 32 would be amazing to see, there are also rarely any trimarans on stormworks.

AustrianOfficer, thanks for the ideas!
They are very fancy sailboats, I'll throw them on "The Pile" ;)

if you do come around and want to work on another sailing yacht i would recommend the 2006 oyster 56, or if your unable to do that i'd reccomend the 2006 jeanneau 54 DS as a second option.
